So, first let's take a moment to clarify your claim of being an RN. Just because you change your username does not cancel out your previous posts. Just in 2012 you were struggling to pass the TEAS test in order to enter LPN school. You failed that at least once it looks like. And surprisingly you were struggling with science-so surprising to me with your great understanding of science and vaccines :eye roll: Then just this past November you were eagerly awaiting to see if you were accepted to nursing school. I think an ASN program? So it's pretty miraculous that just a mere 3 months later you are an RN working on a meg-surg unit diligently providing nursing care from 3 feet away! Oh and around this point you were looking to enter a holistic path because darn-regular nursing, you know the kind that involves evidence and science, just isn't right for you!! Now continue to spew your "facts" about vaccines. How can we trust someone's facts who can't even tell us the truth about who he/she is?

Ever heard of compassion? OP is experiencing something extremely devastating right now. Also why criticize her for presenting the facts of the story. She didn't call him a name or anything. She simply stated a fact. No need to jump down her throat.

Blaming the victim is a terrible terrible thing. Her father did not cause it. He was enjoying a walk. Even if the kid felt threatened-that is no justification for him to punch an elderly man. And no he might not have known he was a cancer patient but he did know he was an elderly man that he could have just avoided and kept on walking. The OP is grieving for her father. The least you could do was tell her you were sorry for her soon to be loss instead of being a total insensitive being. And for your last part-are you able to control every single thing your parents do??

It seems as though you were looking for better/more creative ways to document her refusal rather than explore how to actually help her as evidenced by whose comment you liked. Maybe you should actually take the others' comments into consideration instead of coming back and acting so rudely. But hey that just my opinion.

You need to spend some time in an ER and then come back and post. The patients that are being vented about are usually in the large part of the ER population that do NOT pay for their ER services.

She stated she is a CNA and secretary not a nurse therefore my guess is she paid the same for both positions. In that case, no they aren't paying a nurse for secretarial work and the employer cannot claim that.
