  1. Annie_M I start assessment next Monday. How bout you?
  2. Do not get freaked out until you start and get a feel for how you do with this material. We all have different learning styles. Some people breezed through the research classes, and I could just not seem to grasp some of the concepts like I did with Patho. As annie_rn said, he is very generous with grade curving. This is in opposition to Pharm that I just finished that was not curved at all and very difficult material.
  3. I have completed 15 hours of the online UTA FNP program, and it seems to have the variable you are looking for. They recently just started requiring students to come to campus for one time during the entire program, but that doesn't seem like a stretch for you since you live here.
  4. Quizzes are weekly, and they only cover one chapter of that's week readings. I liked this opposed to other course quizzes that are over several chapters. He also allows you to drop a case study and a quiz grade. This came in handy when I was ill and unable to finish a case study in time. I started last fall on a full-time plan. I have seen other programs mention Facebook groups or other sources to connect with fellow students. Do you know of any? I like most parts of online learning, but the absence of classmate interaction is not one of them.
  5. I took it in the fall.
  6. @trinity master I just finished taking the Stats exam for Research course...you were not kidding! Did not do well at all even though I got an A in undergrad Stats. Now I'm just hoping that my EBP paper is high enough to get by with a C and be done with it. Thank God I got an A in Theory, or I would be spazzing right now. Soooo ready to be done with these theory/research classes. I much prefer the concrete answers of Patho.
  7. I am currently in Theory for the online FNP program and am very appreciative of all of your comments. Gosh, it is so confusing sometimes! I can't believe I am feeling more comfortable in Advanced Patho than Theory right now because my brain understands Patho better than concept analysis and research tools lol!
  8. They e-mailed me, and it also was listed on MyMav.
  9. I applied for the September 22 start date and just heard yesterday that I was accepted. Right now I am waiting on my e-mail and Blackboard to be activated so I can complete the pre-start requirements. Good luck!
  10. Now that is it is September, the wait is on to here about getting in or not for the 22nd start date. I am trying not to psych myself out as the previous start dates went down to the wire in notifying people. Anyone out there waiting to hear? Steffijack, did you put your hat in for this date?
  11. Hi all! I am eagerly waiting for all of you to get your letters because I applied for the September 22 start date back in March! I am ready to finally know or not. Good lucky to all of you!
  12. Have you already been accepted cecruise? I applied in March for September and haven't heard back yet. Do you think it was a faster process for you since you were already in the Admin program?
  13. I applied in March for the September start date. Have not heard anything yet. Hopefully, they will get more ahead than they are now considering the May starts just found out if they were accepted or not.

I completed the most recent re-certification of my healthcare provider CPR training online. It was through the American Heart Association. You do all the coursework and modules online at your own pace. Then, you sign up for an appointment at a location where you show a CPR instructor the skills portion. This part took less than 20 minutes for me. I loved the fact that I didn't have to sit in a CPR class for several hours but still got the same instruction. I will never do it another way again!
  15. I have also applied for the September start date. Appreciative of any posts from the earlier start dates about how the program works! Was so excited when they announced the fully online FNP program.
