Any books to help with A&P 1?
I downloaded an app for my iPhone by visible body. It was expensive as far as apps go, but about the same as a text book and the interface is amazing. Really helped me visualize the organ systems and processes. Good luck!

Which Dansko shoe is better?
Had a pair of dansko shoes. Hated them. So sprung for a pair of alegria professional series. Best decision I ever made. They are amazing. Feel like I am walking on a cloud. I have never had tired or sore feet at the end of a twelve hour shift. Honestly couldn't recommend them more!

Shoes for a new student
I understand money is tight. But, you should really consider splurging on a pair of Alegria. They feel like you are walking on a cloud. By far the best shoes I have ever owned, and I am a runner. Nothing compares to the comfort of these shoes. Save if you have to. They are honestly THAT worth it.

Who's taken the teas v?
I took the TEAS V just a few weeks ago. My combined score was a 94. I scored in the 90's in all sections, with the exception of science, in which I scored an 89. I posted a detailed outline of subjects covered on my version of the exam. No specific questions, mind you, rather the overall subjects I could remember. The exam is very challenging. Even if you are a natural test taker, I would highly suggest spending some time preparing for this exam. The TEAS V is as much about critical thinking as it is about your knowledge base. You have to be able to apply what you know to examples. This is particularly true in the science portion of the exam. I am sure that is no accident, as these are the types of skills that will be vitally important to you in nursing school. Gone are the days of memorizing muscles. Hello to applying what you know to real world situations, and making decisions based on the factors at hand.

My grades /:
Unfortunately, as competitive as these programs are, you will probably need to set a goal for at least a 3.0. Of course, your program may be different. But, there are so many applicants, you want to make sure you are sitting at the top. One thing I would caution you on...taking stats and A&P 1 at the same time may prove to be overwhelming. It's certainly not impossible. But, these are two courses you want to show up with an A when it comes time to apply to your program. So, you might want to consider taking those is different semesters. I don't want to discourage you, but both will take up significant amounts of time. You can do it!! You will just need to put the time in. Good luck!

RN or MD
In my area, if you have a bachelors degree, you can get into a PA program. Most of these programs can be completed in roughly two years. You might also consider a Masters in nursing. The salary and program length are very similar to that of a PA. Unfortunately, there is no bridge program between nursing and MD.
