  1. The hardest year of my life, but I did it! Graduation Jan 9th....so excited! Cant wait to take NCLEX!
  2. A guy who had stomach pain, upon xray we saw 12 oddly shaped things in abd. He then told us he liked to swallow barbie heads cause the hair felt good on the way out and he had obstructed. I swear some people have just lost their minds!
  3. ok sorry Im really tired, prehospital is way diff from Nursing that should say..sorry
  4. pre hospital care is really different than EMT Ive never heard of anyone challenging in,but check with your state! Its a great job but very diff..good luck

  6. I'm at Blake Austin in vacaville, not hard to get in just hoops to jump through, some on fire kidding of course, it's a great place I enjoy it, it's a huge amount of work, this school biz but it's good! I would recommend the school! If you have specific questions just ask away!
  7. WELL Tonight is first time I had a minute to take a breath if that tells ya anything! Its not HARD just a lot of work. I spent the first night doing flash cards for 4 hours, and that was just making them! Yesterday the day was spent getting cert in CPR, we had two quizzes first day and one yesterday. Today was first theory day, pretty dry but a good day, ok back to studying! Quiz friday ch 1-3 vocab and med term and monday exam of first four chapters...

  9. I have to say its really nice to see this post. I KNOW it will be a challenge, but I wanted to ask a couple of questions...I hope its ok if I pick your brain :) Are you in a traditional school or tech school? Howlong is your school? Did you have previous medical experience? What has been the most difficult? How old are your kids( if you dont mind me asking) Im excited and nervous about getting started Jan 7, but I know if it gets difficult there will also be easier times.I do appreciate though a positive post and I know there are probably lots who feel the same, so thank you!

  12. Hello! I'm starting school Jan 7 in an eleven month school in California. I'had such diverse experiences, all fun mind you but all getting me through till my kids were old enough and I got to go back to become a nurse... Well it's finally my turn! I could not be more ready or excited to do this!!!!! I have to say though, my 16 year old son told me "Mom, school is not as much fun as you think it is"lol Out of the mouths of babes :)
