Hey everyone! I am so excited to be starting on L & D tomorrow! My dream job come true! I start on my floor tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone has some tips for me? I am currently reviewing some OB material. For those that have been preceptors, what are the qualities you like when precepting a new grad and the ones you dislike.

It's not bad. Come prepared with questions. They ask you the typically questions an give a detail information about the GN program. You will get called back for an interview if they like you. At the 2nd interview you meet with the manager. Yes I will be doing the GN program

I interviewed just recently and I am nervous about when I will hear back. It was a good interview though!

I think it depends on the individual and what your future goals are. It is important to reassess what's your focus. if you know hospital work is not for you then don't do it but be aware of your decision.

Keep your head up! Also perhaps talk to your supervisor about taking some personal time for yourself

Hey everyone! I will be starting the GN program in January and had a couple of questions. I am doing Med-Surg. For the first 8 weeks, are we just 7am to 3pm. Then week 9-12 is when we orient to our shift? I talked to HR and they said that they suually keep us one shift until we are done with classes. is that so?

Hey everyone! I just found out that I got a GN position in Lehigh GN internship! I am so excited but have a couple of questions. In terms of orientation are we 7 to 3 for the first 8 weeks then get put on " scheduled" shift from weeks 8 to 12?
