  1. I pretty much used ABC, Maslow and nursing process when I was studying, but when I was taking the actual NCLEX, all of my strategy skills vanished! So basically I was just looking at the priority questions, trying to eliminate anyone who wasn't really, really going to die soon :chuckle (cruel I know) and then usually narrowing it down to two, I just had to pick the one I thought was in worse condition (while keeping ABCs and stuff in mind) The priority are TOUGH, but just try to use good judgement and anything you've learned about the disease processes, etc. Good luck!
  2. I also felt like all the strategy that I drilled into my head was lost the minute the test started. I could barely think straight, no less apply what I had learned! Luckily, it all worked out and I passed at 75! I'm betting you'll be an RN before you know it! :)
  3. Good luck! We'll all be thinking of you, so be sure to let us know the outcome! I bet you did great! :)
  4. I'm guilty of studying right up until the minute I got out of my car to go into the exam building :chuckle but that's just the way I've always been. Most people say to take off the day before your exam and it seems to work well for them and let them relax and clear their minds before the test. I guess whatever works best for you! GOOD LUCK!!
  5. Congrats! That's wonderful! :balloons:
  6. I just got my BSN in April, and will be starting my masters program in August for Adult NP. I'm young (21) but I think its best for me to go straight into the program while I'm without any family responsibilities, and still in study-mode! I'd love to see a grad school forum, because I'm sure I'm going to have a lot to talk about! :chuckle
  7. The test didn't really ask me anything that I had no clue about, I think it's just the way things are worded and the pressure of it being THE test, it makes everything seem harder! I used Saunders and thought it was excellent. and yes, I actually had two or three of my review questions on the NCLEX! I was so excited :chuckle
  8. I personally thought they were harder than the study questions I did.. but I guess it really depends on what materials/classes you used.
  9. Ann, I wish I knew the answer, but I don't. Just hang in there and good luck!
  10. I can honestly say I didn't get any diseases that I had never heard of.. Basically, study everything :chuckle Wish I could be more help.. but it's just all so random.
  11. Congrats, guys!! Doesn't it feel wonderful? Now go celebrate! :balloons: :balloons:
  12. Yes, others have passed after they got the last question wrong. Heck, I probably got the last question wrong too! Couldn't even remember it! :chuckle
