  1. I found it looking for mnemonics while studying here in CRNA school and I am amazed at how easy it is to remember information from this format! Ace USMLE, COMLEX, NCLEX and MCAT with Picmonic It's just like all the silly mnemonics you already use but in picture form. Go through them a couple times and it's locked in. Anyhow, after I saw this I wished I had this in nursing school because it would have helped a TON, figured I'd pass it along. Note: I do not work for them nor am I one of their advocates. I just think it's awesome. I wish I had this for the CCRN too...
  2. I started in February and I disagree with Turner_SRNA. In fact I think he/she is a troll. Threse nobody in our February class with that name. I've asked around too (our class isn't that big, 27). Turner made an account and they are lame. The Doctor teaching the A & P is cool, and is working hard to make our class interactive. I know I've said this before. But if anyone has questions. Feel free to PM me or any of the other SRNA's from Wolford. I haven't met anyone in classes or clinicals that wouldn't give you some insight into the program.
  3. What a downer. I'm sorry. Have you given up the hope of being a CRNA? There is always the DNP route if you are interested in that or if the OR is your bag, a Surgical 1st Assist would be cool (IMHO). If you are still interested, use this as fuel to go after it again. RE-commit youself and go all in.
  4. Men do it some. However, seems like it takes a really special sensitive type. The kind of guy that is in the ICU or ED is NOT that guy. At least where I used to work, it was like that. If you are interested, take the bull by your sensitive hands and go after it!
  5. This is the thing, in school you cover SO MUCH material. The longer you wait the more that material leaves. Take the test soon. If you don't pass the first time SO WHAT?! Learn from it and do it again. The pass rates for 2nd time takers is a lot higher than the 1st. You Can Do It!!
  6. I have been thinking about getting it for CRNA school but i am having a hard time coughing up the $300+ dollars for the Med School Option. YUCK!
  7. A good study group. We had so much fun making up silly mnemonics and stories to remember drug names and biologic processes. It was great. That being said, if you don't have a group, you can always do that stuff alone, it's just not as fun.
  8. Personally I think it's bizarre so many of you will not disclose you AN participation. Hiding anything?
  9. I may be off but it seems like this entitled attitude is prevalent with this early 20's generation right now. Some are so rude, and they all want to charge after being a nurse for a day. I watched an SI nurse lay into a rad-tech for moving a patient ad raising their HR/BP. I was astonished. #mindblown I personally think the days of "nurses eat their young" are slowly dying. At least I hope they are.
  10. (I think you mean Turner) I couldn't have said it better myself. As nurses, we need to stick together joining and supporting our respective groups like AANA. If we truly want to advance our profession as nurses we must band together. Bickering and squabbling over nonsense, insulting a program with little to no evidence, shameful. I'll give you it to you Turner, you are allowed your opinion but please respect the work of your fellow nurses. The way we as nurse anesthetists advance our scope is by not acting like the MD's who try to undercut us and prevent nursing progress. BTW Turner joined AN a week ago, anyone who reads his/her post, consider the lack of credibility. If you are truly interested in Wolford feel free to PM me or any of the other Wolford students for more information.
  11. 1+ well except I'm not middle-aged oh and I'm not a white lady 🤓. My heart hurts when I hear stuff like this. Just know not all white people are like this. I love all my coworkers because they are great hard working nurses, irrespective of the race gender sexual orientation idgaf. If they work hard and keep their pt's safe you're my type of nurse!
  12. I'm sorry to hear this. Psych nurses are amazing, hang in there.
  13. I studied for a month and passed, I think doing tons of practice exams did it for me.
  14. I personally know the guys that are speaking on behalf of Wolford. I have been here a while, though I am not very active per-say I have been a member longer. Likewise I am a student at Wolford. Turner is entitled to his/her opinion, but IT IS ONE PERSONS OPINION. I'm a student at Wolford I interviewed at two other schools and chose Wolford. Turner, just because you are stressed with being a new student in your first few weeks does NOT mean the program sucks. Maybe you should study more
