What makes you think you can't apply to other jobs? I know classmates that went to other hospitals before the 1 year mark? And I am to a icu from CVSD and only at the 1 year mark? You never know where you can go unless you apply....

At the end of my clinical years we were about to do skills by ourselves after being checked off, so there my be different hospital and school standard protocol.

You don't have to disclose anything you want to on your forms, they are not your PCP! And because of HIPAA there is no way they will find out unless you tell them. This is your private life.

Why is everyone trying to have their babies at 37 weeks? When did society jump to this convenience of having the baby so early at 37 weeks? Why is it "torture" to let the baby mature for the right given time? Just my personal thought....

I work at Baptist, can't complain but definitely heard that Methodist has lower patio ratios than us, baptist doesn't do tuition reimbursement but I do like the benefits, sorry so late.

There's nothing like being in a career that you will hate all your life! Waking up everyday DREADING going to working... It will affect you mentally and emotionally which will turn into physical symptoms. THEN think about the patients that need the touch of a caring nursing that feels it's his or her passion to take care of them. I hear too many stories about the treatment of the patients bc the nurse is unhappy... IF THIS IS NOT YOUR DREAM GET OUT NOT AND FOLLOW YOUR HEART, SOUL AND MIND. Your too young to be dreading a career for the rest of your life.

Why do you say the this is the last time to take it?

I took my exam Monday 02-03-15... About 3hrs later I did the trick got the good pop up and then did it again the next day around 5:30pm still got the good pop up. Searched my name on nursys.com and found my license number at 6pm when they update their website that day! The trick worked for everybody in my classmate.

I truly believe that some people have the knowledge and are very competent to be a nurse but don't test well. Just because your not passing the test doesn't mean nursing isn't for you. The fact that you made it through nursing school stands alone that you can do it. Don't list the the negativity. Re-evaluate what your studying and how your studying, the content your studying and the formate of the questions. Also test anxiety might be a factor your issues.

Didn't take them there either but I asked a classmate and she said alexander for A&P and she doesn't know the micro teachers.

I didn't take patho there but most people took Dr. Hooker they said he was the easiest because you learned what you needed to learn. If I recall most people said quizlet quizzes, making notecards and a recorder to relisten to lecture. Also the library has many books like Saunders, Success, Prentice Hall, Made Easy and many more review books to study for free. But you have to find your best study method bc what works for one does not work for all. Good Luck!

That must be a "new" requirement, but baptist gives you a free cd-rom of Microsoft office for your laptop and I often take my laptop to my nursing classes to take notes. So far I haven't see anyone with a tablet in class more people have a recorder and laptop.

I'm really not sure why they changed the credit requirements I only need 4 classes before nursing courses and I had to go part time for a year...

I had something like that before the acceptance letter, can't remember it was back in nov '11. I'm not sure about how all they give it out too, I had a friend that didn't get accepted and I don't think she got one, but I could be mistaken.

It's all about the money, more money in their pocket if you take mor classes there! Plus every other trimester we get a email about credit prices increases.... Will be so happy when dec gets here....

Our program after the 1st trimester if you verbalized your meds to your instructor she didn't have to be in the room with you and we get our own meds, my school is part of the hospital so I guess it was okay to give us the code to the med cart only control and IV drugs you need to use a badge number to get. OP sorry to hear this as I'm in nursing school to but like the other lady I'm so confused how one patient talked you into giving a med, it's always wonder to have the patient give you confidence but as a student critical thinking skills should of kicked it and you could of got your instructor then gave the meds. This is very serious bc if one patient can convince you so easily I worry about all the other manipulative patients will fool you so easily. I hope you dnt get kicked out but some action should be done.

My nursing school started with 2 classes 8hrs each and every trimester after that was M/F 3 hours lecture, T a BSN course (research etc) for 3 hours, W/THE clinical for 8 hrs each. So pretty much M-F for 2 years for my BSN.....

Nurses are so quick to forget they were students and another nurse had an extra workload and at the time as a student you didn't see it that way.... Quick to forget the past I notice with a lot of nurses. I best nurses I have experience always said "I was once a student...." And helped me SO I didn't miss up and they had to fix that also... Oh well
