    Saddleback College, CA ( LVN to RN)

    Has anyone attempted to apply to or have been admitted into the bridge option available at Saddleback College? I know their program is already highly competitive, as are all nursing schools in California. However, I am not looking to enter into the generic version of the program. My experience and knowledge as LVN is valid. And I would like that to at least count for something. Below I have linked the only information I can find surrounding their bridge program.     Does anyone know of any non-profit LVN to RN programs online in California? Or specifically of any Community Colleges that offer the theory portion of nursing online but still have clinicals in person? I already have years of experience, and I am NOT looking to enroll into a generic RN program. I would like for my experience to count for something toward my next degree. I have already found 1 community college offering this option, but their LVN to RN is not guaranteed.

    I love working with neonates and I know becoming an NNP is something I truly want to pursue. But I'm worried I'll end up putting myself into a box ans not be able to venture out into new nursing experinces. I don't really see myself staying in the worldwind that NICU can be. Does anyone have any suggestions or options?

    Should I take a refresher course before continuing on my BSN? Or is there any website I can utilize to help me pass my advancement exams? Some classes I dread I just might have to take as a LVN. I understand that most are important. But I already have an idea of which specialty I would like to go into, and it doesn't involve these topics. I would appreciate any tips from anyone!

    I'm an lpn and I've been out of nursing school for about 2 years. And I have less than 6 months of experience in peds and hospice care. I recently just moved to a whole new state and can't find work. I'm worried the longer I'm out of a job and the longer I'm out of school I forget most of what I've learned. Going back to school and taking refresher courses aren't currently in my budget right now. Does anyone have any advice?

    I am LVN grad recently decided that WGU is the school for me, and I am currently in the process of completing my prerequisites for the BSN prelicensure program. I understand it is a highly selective program, and I would like to know what I can do to increase my chances of getting accepted into the program? I am willing to do any additional work. I am grateful for anything you all can share!:)

    Yea I remember reading that the program is high selective. And finishing the prenursing portion does not guarantee you a spot int the bsn program. I wish they allowed the ability to test out of that portion and go straight into the bsn program.

    You guessed right. I'm in California and it is so hard to find and hospital work as an LVN unless you know the right people. I'm not sure if the states run the ICU's the way Canada does, but it sounds like Canada is the place to be.
