LVN adanced placement California
A degree can be earned in so many ways today. I never implied to simply skip over essential information. However this question is geared toward any experienced nurses who where able to advance themselves in the program without repeating information they already learned in school as a lvn/lpn.

LVN adanced placement California
Most colleges offer the option. WGU mentions that it can be done. However the information is very vague. They only state that they administer ATI exams for challenge and that all the nursing courses can be challenged. So I wouldn't know where to begin to study for the exams.

LVN adanced placement California
I wanted know if any lvns did the challenge exams for the prelicensure program for WGU? I know there are those who would disagree with lvns having advanced placement in an RN program. But since I became an LVN I hit the ground running. I've always taken the inititave to learn as much as I can from whoever I could. I have a few years of experience where I've learned and accomplished so much. I've worked in plenty of facilities where I'm more experienced than some RN's. I'm just ready to take the next step without wasting more time. I just need my education and experience to count for something. Any advice would help!

Can NNP's work anywhere else outside of NICU?
I love working with neonates and I know becoming an NNP is something I truly want to pursue. But I'm worried I'll end up putting myself into a box ans not be able to venture out into new nursing experinces. I don't really see myself staying in the worldwind that NICU can be. Does anyone have any suggestions or options?

Does anyone have any tips on getting a level 4 NICU position as new grad?
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting a level 4 nicu job as a new grad? I'm planning on getting my nnp as soon as I have enough experience. Working with neonates is what I'm passionate about so I feel confident in my learning capabilities to go for it.

Indiana state university LPN to RN
I wasn't quite looking for a completely online bsn I liked the fact that isu allows students to pick a local clinical site. WGU has a good program, but upon speaking to the reps they let me know their program is highly competitive. I was trying to avoid getting waitlisted.

Indiana state university LPN to RN
I am currently an lpn looking for a online RN course that will allow me the flexibility to move out of state and continue working without costing an arm and a leg. I found my least expensive route would be lpn to RN, then RN to BSN. The only possible schools I've found are excelsior and isu. Excelsior sounded nice up until I found that some states won't let you sit for your boards if you have a degree from Excelsior. Isu seems to be the better choice, but because it's so expensive I didn't really want to complete the whole course at isu. I was planning to transfer. I was wondering if it was possible for me to take enough of the nursing courses to qualify for the associate level RN boards? Has anyone tried this before? I already emailed ISU and they of course stated that they don't offer a ASN. But I am determined to make a way for my degree.

Nursing informatics outlook for military spouse
I was extremely interested in going into nursing informatics, but I'm worried I won't be able to find work as a military spouse with all the traveling and possibly living overseas. I was also thinking of joing the reserves myself. Can anyone give some insight on the job outlook for me and what type of challenges I might face in the predicament I'm in.

Need advice on peds position application
I am apply for a 12hr peds office LPN shift at a hospital that is know to be pretty fast paced. I have less than 6 months of peds experience, mostly working with outpatient diabetic students. I've been out of school for 2 whole years. Not to mention the nursing school I attended didn't even show us the procedure to check in pediatric patients. I really want the experience and I absolutely love children. I'm hoping to be a great peds nurse one day. I was hoping someone could give advice on whether or not I should be taking this position when I don't feel equipped with all the right knowledge and skills. Or should I take this position as a challenge and learning experience.

WGU BSN prelicensure - California
I am LVN grad recently decided that WGU is the school for me, and I am currently in the process of completing my prerequisites for the BSN prelicensure program. I understand it is a highly selective program, and I would like to know what I can do to increase my chances of getting accepted into the program? I am willing to do any additional work. I am grateful for anything you all can share!:)

WGU prelicensure BSN clinical availability for Military Personnel/ Military Spouses
- WGU prelicensure BSN clinical availability for Military Personnel/ Military Spouses
How many clinical days did you have?- WGU prelicensure BSN clinical availability for Military Personnel/ Military Spouses
Does any one know if WGU will accept Military personnel/ Military Spouses online BSN prelicensure program while taking clinical courses on base or outside of the states that they have the clinicals available? I do intend to talk to an enrollment counselor in a couple days, but I would appreciate any information provided. Thank you! :)- WGU BSN prelicensure inquiry
Yea I remember reading that the program is high selective. And finishing the prenursing portion does not guarantee you a spot int the bsn program. I wish they allowed the ability to test out of that portion and go straight into the bsn program.- WGU BSN prelicensure inquiry
@Meeh619 I haven't had the chance to talk to an advisor. Do you know the average waiting time on a clinical site? - WGU prelicensure BSN clinical availability for Military Personnel/ Military Spouses
