I TOTALLY know EXACTLY where you are coming from!!! I to graduated in December 2011 from a BSN program and was licensed Feb 29th . So basically for an entire month I've applied to all the hospitals in my county, which is palm beach, FL and it is one of the biggest counties in the state. I must have applied to at least 65-80 positions including nursing homes, home health, etc.. and not even ONE interview!!!! I also received a clinical excellence award from my graduating class thinking that will also boost my chances for employment. I agree that it is very depressing but know that you are not the only one going through this difficult time and hopefully something will work out for all of us soon.

I took the NCLEX on Tuesday as well, stopped at 75 and got the good pop-up and the next morning (yesterday) found out I passed!! So as far as I'm concerned it is 100% reliable.

So the PVT is 100% reliable because it worked for me, I passed with 75 questions and 23 of them were SATAs!!! So now I am officially an RN!!!! Good luck to all the future test takers, you can do it!!! :w00t:

Congrats to you Unique87!! I also tested today, and FINALLY had the guts to do the PVT because I was soo numb and sure I failed but got the good pop-up!! well guess I'll just wait for the official results beacuse I am still a bit skeptical.

Well it's definitely alot of motivation involved in studying for that long! I've been doing that for the past 6-8 weeks, and try to do AT LEAST 100Q a day but honestly now I am so drained and tired of studying, I test soon so hopefully all the hard work will pay off!! I totally understand where you are coming from as well. I to take my exam next week and I have so many emotions of excitement, fear, anxiety, etc.. But I know that will not help the situation much so keep the faith and be confident and I'm sure you will do well!! I'm wishing all of you that are taking the exam soon all the best and soon we all will have that infamous R.N. behind our names!!

i agree with you as far as the rationales on saunders being more detailed as oppose to kaplan, however, i also think kaplan questions are more on the higher level and more challenging. kaplan questions can be a bit ambiguous but they also make you critically think and in turn better prepare you for nclex. (in my opinion) on the contrary, both resources used together will definitely be useful for you to succeed. i'm using both and it works for me so hopefully this will help you as well.
