What are the most comfortable nursing shoes... for big foot?
I've tried everything, dansko, klogs, NB, avia, nursemates, the list goes on and on. Hands down, the MOST amazing comfortable shoe is this...Women's Classic Leather || Cushioned Walking Shoe @ Spira Footwear Looks like it only goes up to 11 in women's, but I'm sure you could get it bigger in mens, they are essentially the same shoe men or women's.

Forced wearing of nursing cap.
I don't doubt that at all. Hey, I'm only 40, but I like the way nurses looked wearing the white dress/cap. Now, you can't tell who the heck is who. "Hey, are you my nurse or from housekeeping?" lol.

Forced wearing of nursing cap.
I think it's foolish to wear the cap without the dress. Haha, but I think nurses should still dress like that! So I may not be a good judge lol!

Respiratory question for a patient with a trach...
What was his reasoning for not transporting the patient "because he's on 4L O2" ????? 1) That is just the flow rate required to get the particular FIO2 (28%) the guy was on, no big deal. 2) Even if the guy was on a much higher FIO2 and/or flowrate, I still don't get what the issue is with transporting the pt to a procedure as long as he is stable?

Yes, Youtube IS actually a good source to learn from. For instance, my A & P prof, (and I use the term "prof" loosely) couldn't teach his way out of a paper bag. Most of the heavy duty material I learned from a youtube channel called Dr. Najeeb, this guy has mastered the art of teaching. I had to depend on myself and those videos to learn the material for that class. I highly recommend any nursing students in the throes of A & P to search your current topic on his channel, you will be amazed at his talent. I most definitely should NOT have HAD to learn the material from youtube, particularly whilst paying $1k to someone else who was grossly inept.- Nursing Shoes??
So many health care profs wear and love danskos. Personally they killed my feet, and I have had 3 different pairs. I just cannot wear them. I posted on another thread about shoes... They are called Spira. They are kind of ugly, and only come in black and white. I wear black at work, but we have to wear white for clinicals come sept. I just bought a pair of Klogs Genoa online and waiting for them to arrive. I will post a review, hopefully they are comfy. I only paid like 35$ for them on sale (normally around 80-100). If they don't work, I will have to splurge and buy white Spira's (which are $160 from my shoestore, but you can get them online for around 130). They are pretty ugly looking, but are heaven. The best shoes for achy feet!- SHOES... glorious shoes
Hey, FYI... If you go to "shoebuy private events" and sign up, they are having a BIG sale on KLOGS brand shoes. I just ordered a pair of Klogs Genoa clogs for school for $35! They are anywhere from 60-100$ on most sites, including the regular shoebuy site where they are 93$. The sale ends tomorrow. I will let you know how they feel when I get them. If they aren't great, I am going to break down and buy white Spiras.- SHOES... glorious shoes
SPIRA Classic Leather shoes are THE BEST. My feet, knees and hips used to kill me working 12's, until I found these. They are pretty much ugly as sin, but if you don't give a *#(# about looks, you will LOVE these shoes, I guarantee it. They are anywhere from $140-160. I wear black to work now, but I need white shoes to start school in Sept. I hate to spend the $ when I only need them for one day a week, so I might try something else. Curious to see what other people recommend. Oh, I also dislike Danskos...way to hard, and heavy.- Reviewing A and P
