Nursing school from Hell
Hold on...you will be ok...I had hell in OB in LPN school too. I failed 3 exams out of 4. thought I would fall to the floor. Still managed to pull a "B" for the overall semester. Good idea for NCLEX REVIEW and study just OB questions for now. Recommended in LPN school to have at least 2 review books. Saunders & Lippincott are awesome. I would study OB from text , then review and study all questions and rationals for upcoming exams. It did help and finally click! come finals..and over all YOU WILL MAKE IT. The grade does not make you...more to come on NCLEX soooooooo, take a deep breath. Good Luck!

need advice to become a RN. what is "excelsior"?
hi gargimil :) my name is Ardeana ([email protected]) and i am LPN student going this route. Excelsior College is based in Albany, and this is an independent study program. Only requirement is to be an LPN. if you have your other courses done like Eng Comp, Soc, Psych, AP etc. ...then you only have to complete the 7 nursing courses and take a weekend 2 day clinical exam. There are some programs which help you with this degree. I am studying thru RUEed.com to do the course work. They send you text book and study guide to work with. When you are ready, you apply to take Nursing1 Concepts, and move thru all 7 this way. This is wonderful for me because i work also and have a family. the other programs similar are istudy.com and the collegenetwork.com I hope this info helps and good luck. plz feel free to keep in touch. regards, Ruqayyah

Any RNs from WCC(Westchester Community College)?
:) Hi Isabel, my name is Ardeana and I just graduated from WCC LPN 5/2004. From what I know from ****** and hearing about the seminar entrance scores from a co-worker who sat in for the seminar, scores must be very high. This years group RNs /2006 scores ranged from 85-96%. Are you an LPN already? If so, maybe you might think about RUE/EXCELSIOR PROGRAM. This is what I am doing instead. I will finish my ADN by May 2007. Just study the TEAS with all your might! Good Luck, and I hope this helps:)

First ? plz: Why does the nurse assess Intake and Output? plz feel free to keep in touch with email: [email protected] Regards, Ruqayyah To thy own self be true- Where are each of you in the EC program?
:) to thy own self be trueHi , my name is Ruqayyah and I am studying NC1 thru RUE/EXCELSIOR TOO. It's pretty cool to study on your own but, the committment is awesome. Started this program in Sept ..looking forward to taking first exam in Jan 2005. I have to take Micro also, but school informed me ...take NC2 then micro. I would love to stay in touch, u can email me : [email protected] Good Luck!- Any "C" student graduates???
Oh Dear, plz do not worry about C's . Just do the best you can , when you sit for your boards and you pass (which you will) no one will ask what grades you got. It truly doesn't matter. Pray to be competent and safe. I'm probably a Ct on paper, a B in my heart and always an A for the patient. I'm sure some of my grades will pull up as I continue along, but I will never give up! Keep up the good work - new member on board
