Paying for Accelerated BSN?
Loans and more loans! I hate going into debt, but I know it's worth it. My program is 12 months long so I know there's no time to work. Even still, my school won't let me borrow over the amount of the "estimated costs" which is ridiculous because it's much more than a normal undergraduate - but they aren't taking that into account. I guess I'll have to be really frugal this year. Luckily, I don't have a family to support or any other expenses (such as a car, house, etc.). Good luck to you!

Drexel ACE Acceptance?
I got in, but I won't be attending, so there's at least one extra seat. Good luck! :)

Taxes

You can change the estimate if you want. I don't live in CA and I have no idea what they actually end up with, but it sucks if they have to pay so much taxes! I would like to hear from someone who lives there, caz I'd like to move there one day.

Considering nursing and eventually CRNA
It might take you six years (or more) if you go the traditional BSN route, but you already have a degree, go the accelerated BSN route! You could lob off up to 3 years of the time you need to be in school (depending on the prereqs and specific program)! Good luck with whatever you decide!

Drexel/JHU
I applied for the Spring 2006 term, who knows if I'll get in, I kind of applied on a whim. It seems like a good program though! I hope that if I don't get accepted to my #1 choice I get accepted at Drexel. Did you apply?

anyone waiting for letter w/classes left
A&P II, nutrition and statistics... all of which I'm taking now. I can only hope that the grades I've gotten in the prereqs up til now are good enough to prove I'll pass! Good luck to you all!

Michigan State U accelerated BSN program
So yes, they're definitely accredited by the CCNE. I sent out my application - like you said, it can't hurt. I guess I'll wait to see the answers to the post about CCNE and NLNAC. Good to hear it's a good program though!

Michigan State U accelerated BSN program
I wonder if I should go ahead with applying. I wonder how important the NLNAC is opposed to the CCNE. I figured a big state school would have the proper accreditation. Can you still take the NCLEX if it's just CCNE?
-
Michigan State U accelerated BSN program
I know they're in the process of getting accredited since their program is new. Their other program is NLNAC accredited though. I'll ask the advisor about that. I wouldn't want to go through with program and then have it not be accredited at the end!

Michigan State U accelerated BSN program
Is anyone applying to this program? Anybody know much about the school? They're in their first year, but has anyone done the traditional BSN at MSU? Thanks for your help in advance!

University of South Alabama - BSN accelerated
I'd like to hear from anyone who has done, or is going to do a BSN accelerated degree. I'll like to start this year if possible, but if not, early next year. Thanks again! Adelle

University of South Alabama - BSN accelerated
Does anyone have any info about this program? Anyone in it? Has anyone done it? I talked to the Nancy and she said they only accept 12 students. What kind of grades did you have? Are the clinicals spread out? Did you have to have the prereqs done before applying? I'd like a student's perspective on the program. Much thanks to anyone who responds or can help me! Adelle :)

Accelerated BSN or Direct Entry Masters Students, Come in!
I'm going to apply to Drexel in PA for either fall 2005 or spring 2006 entry. I'm not sure what area of nursing I want to do yet. I like ICU nursing in the absract, but I guess when I start clinicals I'll get a better feel for it. Good luck to you all!

2 Portuguese Nurses want to work in the US
Olá! Eu gosto muito de Portugal! I've heard that in San Francisco and LA you can make about $35/hr +, but it all depends. Check http://www.salary.com for more area specific pay rates. I hope you guys don't get caught up in any scams. Boa sorte!
