Hello everyone. Could someone who is familiar with MDC let me know what the Bridge or Transitional program weekly schedule is like? I am trying to figure out if it's a Monday-Friday 7-5 schedule etc... Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

I guess it varies by the area. Every job posting, and emails I receive for open houses says they're looking for experienced nurses. No mention of BSN needed, although I am sure it will help when deciding between experienced candidates.

South Florida $24.00 plus differential after 3pm and 12am and weekends. No RN experience PACU/Radiology

Employers want EXPERIENCE. There is NO SHORTAGE of BSN and ASN nurses out there. They want experience, and will give preference to that. BSN without experience bunches you in the same group as inexperienced ASN nurses.

I am planning on going after my CRNA or FNP once I get my BSN. I currently work in an ICU in South Florida.

The problem is not BSN either as there are PLENTY of those around looking for a job. The problem is you don't know someone on the inside unfortunately. I wish you luck, and start networking. You never know who knows who.

Same where I work. An RN is and RN, the BSN is a gateway for higher level education.

There is no internship at MCH just apply and do your 90 day probation.

Tell them you've tested positive for TB before and just go do the xray. They'll tell you where to go and it's very quick. I don't think I would've waited 3 hours sitting in that little waiting room.

It is definitely easier on the wallet. The teachers are honestly not bad, but the structure needs a lot of work. Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

MDC is a mess. If you're going there you must know this going into the program.

Aries you're still going to graduate with 150 other people. There'll be bridge, and generic that started from semesters past that will be joining you in the job hunt.

This school is a major mess. From registration to financial aid to the actual education. Be prepared to overcome lots of unnecessary hurdles. Good luck.
