How was the exam?

I would suggest to get up and dust off the fear you make have...I believe fear is pure evil is like a roadblock from achieving your goals/dreams...I will be taking my test for the second time around in a couple of wks...We will succeed my friend!!! you have to believe it this time...you have to give yourself a comprehensive assessment so you can narrow it down to a focus assessment (your weakness on content)...First time I used Kaplan..no luck with that...Now I am using Hurst, ncsbn for content/qs..and other questions from other sources...remember there is no way you will know everything about but at least try your best to know the basics for every disease...don't get overwhelmed on your failure, you only job is LOOK FORWARD!!!!....May God guide to the finish line...EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE AS LONG AS BELIEVE!!!...WE WILL SUCCEED!! WE WILL BE RNs in 2014!! Happy NEw year!!!!!! :)

I have reviewed Hurst review very thoroughly except peds then I covered all content and quizzes after each lesson on ncsbn..except 3 lessons...I am focusing only on finishing the qbanks right now (about 1000+ questions)....since I am familiar with the topics thanks to hurst, I felt like I breezed through the lessons..it depends how you feel..good luck!!!:)

I using the ncsbn 3wk..my scores are from 50-75%..do you think is ok? what are your scores???. thanks for sharing...I will be taking my test in a few wks..do you think is enough..my la charity scores are from 60-76% (and 2 in the 50s)...Kaplan qt1 72% and qt3 62%...this is my second attempt..hope I am doing enough to pass..Happy NEw year!!!..we will win this battle!!

I understand how you feel..I am also weak on sata..I rented Lippincott's alt. format qs..its helping me a great deal..scores are not the greatest, but I feel alot more comfortable with them...I will be taking the test in a couple of wks..I am avg from 50-70's and so I hope I am doing enough practice..I am almost done with the book..just keep practicing..You can do it!

First, you have to be mentally focused and ready...have a plan/schedule..do your best to apply it!..you must turn off all your distractors...if the holidays is one of them then wait after the holiday to begin studying..I failed once also..I used only kaplan last time..this time is so much different...I am using Hurst, which I love..its pure content..then I have various resources which I thought it would overwhelm it hasn't a bit..I thought Kaplan was enough last but unfortunately it wasn't...you have to use what is best for you...I almost done with Lacharity and Lippincott's alt q's, I have used some ATI q's/NCLEX 4000/Saunders 5 th q's and brushed some info...yeah as you can see I been going crazy..but I want to feel 100% ready for the next try, I am sure I will nail it..Good luck to you and think positive! WE WILL SUCCEED :)

I am also taking the hurst review..I have reviewed all Med-Surg content twice already..I am starting on the 5th day material....did you covered all 5th day material????..I went thru the infection control/miscellaneous staff and some meds...I also went thru all Saunder q's (end of chapters) except Peds/maternity section (60s-70s)...did you do the entire cd?...I don't want to touch Hurst's tests till near my exam.. do the tests include maternity and peds? sorry for all the q's...thank you so much for time!!!...Congrats :):):):)...

I am using Hurst right now only for content...I failed the first time with Kaplan..I feel once you master the content you will be good to go..I would suggest stick one reference for only content and other ones questions...good luck! :)

Hello friends, Well I have been preparing for the NCLEX for over a month. My test date is set for next week..I feel down about my Kaplan scores.. I only know that I have done everything I could to absorb as much info. I read all Kaplan book/all videos, read my own notes and went through every rationale, did first 10 chapters of La Charity, did about 200 plus q's on NCLEX 4000, 500q from Comprehensive NCLEX review by Hogan, I did about 300q on Saunders and 100% of Kaplan qbank/qt/sample tests= 2300 q's, I am even exhausted by going over this ...I am not a strong test taker, I only know at this point that I have done all my best. Well, here are my low sad scores: (if anyone out there has passed with similar scores please let me know!!! thx) Diagnostic: 53 qt1: 56 qt2: 53 qt3: 52 qt4: 52 qt5: 57.33 qt6: 55 qt7: will take it on Mon readiness: 58 Completed 100% qbank= 55% Sample test 1= 60% ST2: 54% ST3: 67% ST4: 55% Thanks for sharing your scores with me :)...Please let know if you passed with low scores from Kaplan.
