Algebra
I am also not very good at math. I used several websites with practice problems to review before even taking the class. Most of these are meant for high school students, but they sure helped me. I would try going through the worksheets and reviewing the answers. I have pasted a link to one of the sites. Practice, practice and practice is what's gonna really make the difference. http://www.algebrahelp.com/

Stress Free Finals!!!
I'm stressing so much right now. I've got my Pharm final and ATI tomorrow. Two more tests on Friday and the last one on Saturday. I have a 94 average in all my classes and the finals will make the difference between an A or B on a grading scale where a 92.5 is an A. I want so much to just not care.

Light at the end of the tunnel
I'm looking forward to sleeping!

Good day...bad day
I also spend a good amount of time printing out the powerpoints and reviewing blackboard for updates. I hate printing but I love using my 3 hole puncher. There are not enough hours in the day to do all that we want to or have to do. It all comes down to prioritization and I guess that's something we'll hopefully be very good at when we start to practice nursing.

I'm Going to Scream!
You're still cool. It's the douchebag with the phone who needs a lesson in common courtesy.

Is a laptop handy in nursing school?
I'm starting school in the Fall and just got an iPad 2. Can you tell me what app you are using to take your lecture notes on? And also, what stylus? There are so many to choose from and I have enough to think about already. Any recommendations would be helpful.

How many hours did you study?
I had the ability to take off two weeks from work in order to just study for the test. I spent 4-5 hours a day studying and taking the practice tests. I was taking Chemistry that semester and I realized how it would have made a lot more sense to have taken Chemistry beforehand. I scored an 83.3% and I cried on the way home after taking the test because I didn't think it was going to be a competitive enough score to get into the school I wanted to apply to. Luckily, my husband and my friend convinced me to just apply and I got accepted. Apparently, my score wasn't that bad. I would recommend taking the practice tests on the ATI website because none of the 5 tests from my Mcgraw Hill book really matched what I saw on the test that day.

ASU Fall 2012
Congrats! I'm really excited about the welcome meeting, maybe we'll meet there tomorrow. :)

ASU Fall 2012
In the welcome meeting reminder email we got last week there were docs with some lists of supplies and information about the uniform vendor. I've already looked for the stethoscopes on Amazon and found much better prices for them and for most of the other supplies. It will be nice to get a look at the scrubs and everything else tomorrow, but I don't plan on buying anything just yet.

ASU Fall 2012
I'd say that a $10,000 difference is a pretty compelling reason to choose ASU over GCU. I was at the ASU site looking at the annual cost for the program and it came to around 11,700 not including books or supplies. By the way, I am also curious as to why they are trying to get people to order the books and everything else so soon. I guess they'll explain the reason why it's pertinent to get them now as opposed to later on closer to the start of the semester.

ASU Fall 2012
I would have gone wherever I got accepted. Having two choices is awesome. You can't beat the convenience of campus being 10 mins away. You should look into the clinical sites for both and see which will work out best in that respect as well.
