  1. Don't give up hope guys. I graduated from my program in December of 2010, say for the boards that following August and failed. My dad got sick and passed away in the next year and a half, I picked myself up, studied my behind off, and passed on my second attempt. It is possible, please don't ever give up hope.
  2. Trick is 100% still accurate. Congrats to you all.
  3. Hi, yes, I was told that my results got mailed on Jan. 10th. It got lost somehow, somewhere. I asked her to mail it out again, so I have to wait another 2 weeks. I'm still getting the good pop up. It only makes sense that I passed right? since my results have been mailed, and I'm still unable to register. That's the only thing keeping me sane at the moment is that thought of the good pop up and results being mailed.. Good luck to you!
  4. I'm still waiting on my results. I havnt gotten any piece of mail or information confirming whether I passed of failed. THIS IS PURE TORTURE! I'm calling the board now, and of course they put me on hold for 40 mins.
  5. Congrats to you! However, I'm still waiting on my results, not sure why it's taking so long.
  6. Thank you! Still waiting for my name on the BON or results from snail mail. The wait is KILLING me!
  7. Try ncbsn online course. I used this combined with exam cram and I believed these two helped me. Good luck
  8. Hello, and thank you for replying. I did get the second pop up you mentioned. But I still cant help but panic. So, from what you're saying my name should be on the BON before I pay the additional $150? Thank you in advanced.
  9. I took the NCLEX on 12/26/13 and have been getting the "good pop up" since I got home after taking the exam. However, my name is still not posted on the BON. I know CA is different from other states. Now my question is, do I need to pay for license before my name will be posted, or should it have been posted by now? Does this mean I failed? I've read several different scenarios on this site for CA. Can someone please help me out??
  10. Do yourself a favor and take the course. It's helped me as well as others in my class. Questions are a lot like the actual exam. Good luck!
  11. I took my nclex yesterday and I got a ton of sata questions. I feel like every other question was sata. However, the satas on the actual exam are easier than the ones I practiced with. I got the good pop up when I got home. Good luck to you, and please don't stress yourself out. It's just another test!
  12. I used Saunders 5th edition to brush up on content. I read the book from front cover to back. I also signed up for the ncbsn 3 week review. If you use this review, prepare for your confidence to be completely shattered because the questions are really hard, but it gets you thinking nclex style. Lastly, the last two weeks of study time I answered numerous questions from exam cram cd. This also has nclex style questions. Hope this helps. Still keeping my fingers crossed that I passed.
  13. Hello all nurses, I took the nckex today fir the second time. Last time I took it was august of 2011.. yea, pretty long ago. I basically feel like I self taught myself everything from the begining. Anyway, I got around 160 something questions, then BAM screen turned blue and my heart dropped to my knees. Got home, tried the trick and kept getting the pop up everyone speaks of. How accurate is the PVT trick??? I know this question has been asked and answered a million times, but pleaseeeeee I need a peace of mind before calling it a night! Anyone? Thank you all!
  14. It helps, thanks! Please do yourself a favor and go out and celebrate. You deserve it!
  15. Thank you for your reply. What you are saying makes a ton of sense! Happy Holidays!!
  16. Hello and thank you for your reply. It's not that I am not able to reason with this, I was simply wondering if anyone else had heard of this. And I am indeed "studying for my nclex more." I appreciate your encouragement!
  17. Thank you so much for your response, and congrats once again! What books/material did you study from?
  18. Hello all, Today I heard something and it got me thinking and freaked me out at the same time because I will be taking my NCLEX in less than a week. Basically, I was told that NCLEX has a limit of how many people they pass per year, so it's not a good idea to take the NCLEX towards the end of the year because chances are they've reached their limit by this time. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of such a thing? And does this make sense to anyone? lol
  19. hello and a big congrats on your achievement. I too will be taking nclex pn in less than a week. Any last minute pointers you would like to share? Please, it would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Hi, yes i believe this is the good pop up. CONGRATS! I will be taking my exam exactly a week from today. Any pointers you can give, please??
  21. Thank you all for your help. I'm going to go ahead and sign up for the course and will keep you all updated!!
  22. Hello all future and present nurses, I am preparing to take my NCLEX again for the second time. Makes me so nervous just thinking about it. I have heard from people in my class that the NCSBN Learning Extention helps. Has anyone tried this? I am thinking of registering, but would rather spend my money on another study course if this one is not helpful. Please, any feeback is appriciated!! Sincerly, Nervouse Monkey
  23. What statement did u get? If u dont mind me asking..
  24. Totally NOT true. It's devil of a exam has everything and anything on it. My weak area was pharmacology. Study all areas, and although its impossible to learn/memorize all meds, it will throw a random drug in ur face and ask for a side effect. Yes, I did fail, and this is why Iam so bitter. lol Goodluck to you!!
  25. Thanks for the reply guys! I'm sick of this waiting game, and I'm ready for it to be OVER!!!!!
