  1. Hi! I graduated in May from a diploma nursing program in Va. I took all my pre nursing courses at a community college and just like you got A's and B's in everything except Anat. and Micro. which both I got C's in. I got into the nursing program on my first try. I struggled a little bit through nursing school but managed to pass everything the first time around and I'm now proud to say that I'm an RN working on the Surgical Floor in a hospital :) So there is hope!!!
  2. Our hospital does bedside hand off, but report is given first outside of the room. Then the nurse leaving goes in each patients room and says goodbye and introduces the nurse coming on. I really like it and the patients seem to too.
  3. I really enjoyed reading this! The last paragraph actually brought tears to my eyes (happy ones ofcourse!) I'm so excited, proud and blessed to finally be part of this career field :) You have made me look foward to my future as a nurse even more. Thank you for your post
  4. I don't want to scare you but I'm in my 4th week of training on a Surgical floor and I couldn't imagine being on my own after just a few days! In school one of our teachers told us that if a job was not going to offer you sufficient training time then NOT to take the job, you're only setting yourself up for failure! Again I'm not trying to scare you and I wish you all the luck in the world! Just thought I would share! :)
  5. my boyfriend asked me how come babies don't drown when they are born into a bathtub....hahaha...gotta love em!
  6. So just updating on this post!! I studied by butt off for a week straight morning to night and I passed!! There is hope for anyone who failed NCLEX!
  7. THANKS GUYS!! :thankya:
  8. Hello everyone!! Unfortunately I took the NCLEX yesterday and I failed it! I had all 265 questions! I was just wondering if anyone knows where to go from here. I live in Virginia, I don't know how to go about retaking it. I can't find much info but from what I've seen I can retake it in 45 days...does anyone know if I have to register for a new ATT and wait for it before I can schedule another test? and do I have to reregister and pay for my license again or is that just a one time thing for the year? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! THANKS!!
