  1. SueSueRNBSN and nnrlpn Did you guys start working at preferred?
  2. I heard they were hiring that's why I went there! Do you speak Spanish? I don't. I somehow got the impression that they have cases but need bilingual candidates. Am also a new grad so that limits the cases I can be assigned. Maybe I'll call them next week. Good luck with training! Keep us posted.
  3. Hi. Did you start working or take the training classes? I called this company and went in for an interview. They told me they didn't have any available cases currently and I should keep in touch with them. I haven't called them since then.
  4. Sorry to hear what you are going through. I say look into the future and forget the past. I used the hurst review after being out of school for many years. I reccomend the online version. I didn't know where to start studying but hurst decided for me. It's the only resource I used and I loved it. I listened to the videos over and over and read the notes. I didn't do many questions. I did one test from hurst and I felt like it didn't help me much so I stopped. I passed the first time. Good luck to you.
  5. I have an appointment at starlight to take the test and am not sure what to study. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to concentrate on. I was told its 50 questions in an hr. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Do they test clinical skills too? Thanks in advance!
  6. Did you get your license? I drove to Newark and got it same day. I wish I didn't have to drive there, pay for gas and parking... well, at least I got it. Good luck to you.
  7. I feel your pain. Its been 4wks for me. I check their website daily. I might have to go to Newark if I don't get it soon.
  8. I did look in Saunders. It says therapeutic level is 1.5-2.5x control for PTT-heparin and 1.5-2xcontrol for PT-warfarin.
  9. Anyone know the correct one?
  10. I always thought it was 1.5-2.5Xcontrol. Exam cram says 1.5-2X control.
  11. Thanks for the reassurances! I've read how strict they are at the test centers hence my nervousness.
  12. Due to lack of parking at my test center, I will have someone drop me off then pick me up or use public transportation. I've heard that they provide small lockers. I was thinking of bringing a wallet, phone and snacks(incase am there 6hr). Am I allowed to bring these things? I would turn off the phone. For snacks I was thinking granola bar and juice or water. Can I put them in a small handbag or does it have to be clear bag like a ziplock? Would my wallet and phone be in the same locker as the snack or would they separate them so I dont use my phone? During break if I need to eat a snack, do i go get it or do they get it for me? Sorry for all the questions? Just trying to make sure I dont mess up before I even have a chance to take the test. Please feel free to give me any suggestions. I think am more scared of the test center than the exam itself. lol.
  13. Congrats! How did nclex compare to the Hurst Q reviews?
  14. RNurse2 congratulations and thanks for sharing!! How did you study for the meds? Did you just study the ones provided by Hurst or did you use other resources?
  15. Congratulations!!! You are such an inspiration! Could you please share how long you studied before taking the exam. Ex. how many months it took, how many days a week you studied and how many hrs per day. Am asking coz I've been out of school for a while too and I've been studying and hoping to take the exam soon.
