  1. I would get down on my knees and pray earnestly. If you are not a Christian I would fix that first and foremost, then I would seek that "wisdom from above". People will frequently let you down, misguide, and even betray you. HE never ever will. Love and Peace, loerith
  2. You just have to be willing to relocate. Peace, loerith
  3. Praying now. Now the hard part......believing. Love and Peace, loerith
  4. Do you remember if you got question 75 right or not? If you got it right, the odds that you passed are very, very high. The NCLEX has NOTHING to do with the number you get right or wrong but has everything to do with level of difficulty. In other words, you get to question 75. You are at a certain level of difficulty. If you get it right this probably means the computer was happy with your level of difficulty and passed you. Most likely, if it had not been satisfied with your level of difficulty at 75 it would have hit you with another question that was either at the same level of difficulty as question 75 or just a little lower level. Hope this helps...believe it or not this is really how the test works. Love and Peace, loerith
  5. I have 2 badly herniated disks {L4-L5, L5-S1} with a hemangioma and some osteophytes. Quite painful to say the least. I am off work again now and have been for a month. I tried the Pain Management route and the experimental medial nerve block hurt me more than helped me. After much prayer and talking with lots of people, I am thinking I have 2 options: 1) receive some kind of supernatural healing {in my case - Christian} 2) have a laminectomy I have had 2 spinal surgeries in the past. A laminectomy about 15 years ago which I did great with and cervical fusion at 2 levels that did not go so well. My neurosurgeon says he can do the lapro/micro type lammy but that there really isnt much difference in the post-op recovery time. I have also tried physical therapy.....no go. Any input greatly appreciated. Peace and Love, loerith
  6. I worked all midnight shift for 6 years. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get OFF those nights ASAP ! Peace, loerith
  7. Actually I do believe I work at 100% of my potential when on the medicine and perhaps less than that when in pain. I may have my neurologist and internal med doctor examine me while on the meds just to have some documentation as to my mental status while on the Duragesic. Thanks, loerith
  8. I have posted on here previously about this, but need a new updated advice database. :) I am a RN who works a clerical/supervisory job. I also have chronic pain and the only relief I get is from the Duragesic patches. To further complicate the matter; I am a recovering nurse. I have 2 questions: 1) If I work while wearing the patch and am tested would I be considered impaired? 2) If I only use the patch on my days off, but would still test positive would this also be considered totally unacceptable? Maybe I should just change fields.........I dunno. Thanks, loerith
  9. When I read your original post I literally cried and started praying. There is a God. Oh yes.....there is! Love and Peace, loerith
  10. agreed Chatsdale! Love and Peace, loerith
  11. "Once upon a time...." {just kiddin } I was a Director of ICU. I had a nurse on night shift who refused to take an IABP patient even though she had had 2 inservices on baloon pumps. The next day when I was informed of this I was told, "the nurse said she was not comfortable with the assignment." I haughtily laughed this off and remarked, "If she wants something COMFORTABLE, go be a librarian." I then related the incident to my Boss, the Director of Critical Care Services. He had a lil different slant on it. He said, "Just for kicks call the State BoN and see what they say." Which I promptly did. Here is what the BoN told me. "If a nurse states that he/she is uncomfortable with an assignment and you give them the assignment anyway. Then YOU become the party responsible should any problems develop with this patient." End of story. the moral?......... You CAN refuse an assignment ! Love and Peace, loerith
  12. Go ahead and wage war. See who wins. Right now, she has a bigger pencil than you do ....if ya get my drift. Love and Peace, loerith
  13. Calling a meeting, talking about her to superiors will only put you in a questionable light. You said she was "well liked" on her unit. As you said "dont play that game." Go with the flow; smile and nod. Then after graduation go work in the largest teaching cardiac hospital you can find. That my dear is when the true learning starts anyhoo. One more thing....good luck! Love and Peace, loerith
  14. I would definitely agree that being a nurse is much tuffer than studying to become one. And honestly , at this point in time there are many things I would trade for being a nurse. Love and Peace, loerith
  15. You need a lawyer...preferrably a nurse lawyer. And a good one. This might cost you some major money up front, but you may be able to recoup it all. Good luck and dont take this! And get a hair sample asap. One that is relevant to the drugs they say were taken. Love and Peace, loerith
