i have no clue what it means.. it scared me though! i have talked with a few other people and some had as many as me and others had as little as 7!

i took it june 3rd. i thought it was pretty hard. i had 75 questions total and passed. i had 20-30 SATA, 1 math problem, 1 ECG strip. i used hurst review and PDA by lacharity mostly.. those 2 helped me tremendously!

5th day material on infection control, PPE, lab values, and stages of development were what i focused on

i used hurst. i just took the nclex on monday and passed! i didn't use any real stretegy for answering questions (besides ABCD's). i definitely think hursts core content helped me alot, but every time i tried to answer a question as "if i can only do one thing what would it be" i got it wrong! just like they said something about "if the nurse is not able to fix the problem you should call the physician".. but that advice made me miss practice questions too.. alot of times there was still at least one intervention or assessment you should do first. i found that if i just read the question and used my own knowledge and judgement on what i think is correct then more often i got the question right vs using some universal rule for answering questions. i used NCSBN and those questions were very hard for me at first!

which prep courses are you referring to? hurst review was very cohesive, grammatically correct, and did not contradict itself

i tested monday at 0800 and had 20-30 SATA.. i lost count there were so many!! my computer shut off at 75. i left there feeling like i definitely failed. I got the good pop up, and am still getting it (i keep checking every couple of hours! lol) i just hope i'm not that.01% that the "trick" doesn't work for!!

no:( i checked the BON website and i still just have my graduate nurse license.. i will have to wait till tomorrow morning to check the quick results!

have you tried hurst review? they cover content and make it really easy to understand

hurst and lacharity definitely helped me the most. qreview and lacharity both have alot of SATA to practice with and i think reading their rationales was good because it told you how to select the right answer

i'm not sure that the NCSBN questions were that helpful for me. i think the PDA book by lacharity and hurst review are what helped me the most

i finished my exam at 8:40, as soon as i got home (at 9am) i checked and had the good pop up!!! PRAYING IT IS ACCURATE!!

AH! i am getting quite nervous now! its 5:40pm here so about 13 hours till i am testing! today i have read through my hurst review notes and read all my rationales from previous test questions that i got wrong. i'm thinking about looking over the lab values, doing a couple more chapters in my PDA book, then forcing myself to STOP! I hope it goes well (and that i am able to actually sleep tonight!) i will post here tomorrow after i am done! :)

oh! congratulatons!! :) i chickened out and rescheduled mine for this Monday. I am mad at myself now and wish i would have just taken when i originally scheduled!! (especially bc i am really burnt out on studying) but again, CONGRATS!

i graduated may 10th, affidavit of graduation was submitted may 10th, and i got my authorization to test via e-mail may 14th! (i'm in texas)

GOOD LUCK!! :) i'm taking nclex-rn june 3rd!!! i graduated may 10th and have been studying everyday for at least 2-3 hours since graduation! i am using hurst review, PDA by lacharity, the 35pg review that i found on a thread from this website, i was using NCSBN, but my 3 week subscription ran out about a week ago, and i used the exam cram cd to take 2 of their practice tests!!

Thank you:) the authors are wilda rinehart, diann sloan, and ciara hurd. what i have gathered from the other posts i've read on here is that it is from pearson as in pearson vue. (i could be wrong, but the book does have the pearson logo on it) and the other resource i was using is the NCSBN practce questions through learningext.com. also there is a 35 page review on this website. it is an attatchment that alot of people have said is very helpful. i have read through it a few times and plan to read through a few more before i test!

we used ATI in school, and i scored an 83.7 on my predictor (which translates to a 99% probability on passing) but ATI is sooo different from the way lacharity and hurst review questions are worded. i struggle with SATA too! the lacharity book as quite a few for you to practice on. oh! and i was using NCSBN's practice questions.. (i had a 3 week subscription and it ran out) they are the people who write some of the actual nclex questions so that might be a helpful resource for you too! you get to the practice questions/learning modules through learningext.com it was only your first try for the nclex. now you have an idea of what it's like, and can be even more prepared for your next attempt! just stay positive :)
