Implant sheets
Implant info goes in the chart as far as the type of tissue or instrumentation for charging and the serial number and all other info goes in graft tracker.

Western Governors University (WGU) Readiness Assessment
I finished my assessment essay last night. I had finished the other parts already. Now I anxiously await my next phone call from the enrollment advisor. I am a school junkie but I still can't believe how excited I am about all this. It's fun that we are in it together and can be classmates. I have already sent for my transcripts. Moving right along.

Western Governors University (WGU) Readiness Assessment
I just received my first call from an enrollment advisor. He sent me the email containing the steps to enrollment with the link to the assessments. I was a bit worried about it earlier, but commuters timely post set my mind at ease. It's nice to know that I will have company on my journey. I hope to have everything ready for a May 1st start. That is the date that I am eligible for education reimbursement from my employer. I can't wait. I love that I can work as fast as I want or take a break for a week to be with family and not be concerned about having an assignment deadline or the need to do a post before or at a certain time. I think this is a great fit for me.

didn't start school til age 50
I graduated last year at the age of 44. I debated it for a bit before I started. I knew I wanted this more than anything so as soon as our family business allowed me to be away, I took the plunge and registered. It was hard and time consuming but do not regret it at all. I looked at like this: I was going to be 44 years old on August 16th 2012 (the day of my graduation) whether I went to school or not. Isn't it better to have some more knowledge with that age?

Fighting with your signifigant other while in school...
Nope, it is not a typo. We were married in 83, purchased our first home in 84, had our first child in 85 (IUD did not work for me), had our second in 87 (he was planned), all while going to school for engineering and construction management to help my husband in his line of work. Now that the children are grown and raised I can change careers without it affecting the household. My first priority was being a mom and my children's education. We home schooled them while running our business. I have always loved ALL children and can't wait to be able to work in any department that has to do with little ones, from birth to whenever they stop being cute. LOL. Seriously, I have had a passion for all things medical-pregnancy-labor-kids related, but other responsibilities came first. Had to do what fed my family first. No regrets about my life whatsoever though. Would do it again the same exact way, only with more vacations and less stressing over whether the boss (us) should stay or perhaps be able to leave town for a few days because now we know that all hell does not break loose.

Fighting with your signifigant other while in school...
I am a 43 year old nursing student in my second semester. I have been married for over 28 years to the same man. My husband has always been "needy" and he has his ways of letting me know. He gets crabby or rude or just plain unbearable. He is soooo supportive of my efforts in school and I am of his efforts to help me through this because he does his best to take care of the housework and my lunch. When the school schedule and its newness wore off and it started getting old, we started to feel the aches and pains associated with it. We got snippy towards each other and downright nasty attitudes;). I resented him for not understanding that I need to study and he with me because he felt like I did not appreciate his help. We had a heart to heart (a not so quiet and loving one at first), but now I consciously make time for him around the least stressful days (like, no test the next day) and let him know my schedule for studying. For example: I am going to study from 4-6pm, take a break with you from 6-8 and then get back to studying (that is for the busier days). For less busy times I will make full day plans with him and let him know ahead of time for that as well. Remember that if you don't make time to be with your significant others, they will find others to spend time with. Be sure to thank him more than once for his help and patience with you and that his understanding of your need to be unavailable helped you to have one less stress and thus enabled you to do better on a test. One other thing, we always remind ourselves how much longer we have in this together and celebrate every good moment even if it is just a high five. It is not forever, it will soon pass and I assure you that the person who will be the most proud of you when you graduate will be him, because he was right there seeing all your struggles. Good luck, you are almost there.

OB Math
Oh, and just to assure all that I looked through all the threads even the math sticky before posting this. Most of the links are no longer any good. Even if its just the practice sheet that you were given at your school. I will share mine too. Once again thanks to anyone who can help.

OB Math
Does anyone know of a good reference or site that has practice questions for OB meds? Our instructor gave us a practice sheet with 20 problems, but we need more problems than that to REALLY practice. We get the concept of how to work the dosages and drips but since we have to make above 90% on the test, there is barely room for error. We have the math test in 3 weeks. Anything would be greatly appreciated.:tku: in advance.

Sticky poop...I need some tips!
I don't understand why the family is against using washcloths and soap, it's a 20 year old butt!!! If it was me I would educate the family on the benefit of using the washcloth instead of wipes that can leave residue which can then cause sores and irritation. Unless this young man is really frail I would consider inquiring with the family on their reasons. You could mention that the patient would also feel better with a good soapy wash than with a wipe down. Another thought, if it is a sore butt that is their concern, consider the times you have to wipe with either method. The washcloth would get the job done faster and with less strokes. Just my 2 cents.

Calling all pen aficionados...please report here
I am addicted to anything school and office supply related. My favorite pens are the TUL needlepoint fine retractable from office max. Ever since they came out with that line of writing instruments I have been hooked. I carry my writing supplies in a crystal light cylinder container and everyone always comments on what a swell idea that is. I don't tell them but that is my security blanket at school. I keep it within sight at all times! I wish everything in the world smelled like crayons. Brings me back to good times in kindergarten.

Keiser University Pharmacology/RN
Hi there, I start core in May at the new Miami campus that we move into next week. I have also heard "horror stories" about pharmacology. Are they true? Like you, I have not had any trouble with prereqs or the teas (also passed it the first time with barely a week of studying). Please give me whatever advise you have. Thanks.:)
