I can't speak for every program, but generally, the statement of goals etc. is an essay. I am in a RN-BSN program now and I believe mine was less than 2 pages double-spaced.
I just resigned from my med-surg oncology position after 8 months due to pregnancy complications, but after the baby is born, I was really thinking about applying to work in this psychiatric hospital in my town. The shift would be perfect so we woul...
I am in the progress of taking BSN classes part-time. I am due towards the end of November, and you all know that most semesters end closer to the beginning of December. Have any of you managed to take a class, have a baby, and still pass it? I am ...
I am doing the online RN-BSN program...I, like yourself, already held a previous B.S. degree in another field. I went to Howard Community college after my first degree and completed their accelerated nursing program in 13 months to become a RN. So ...
I am also 7 weeks pregnant and currently work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights on a med-surg oncology floor. You can do it! Stay hydrated and try to eat a snack every once in a while. I actually find I am less nauseous at work, oddly enough!
Yes, I am already a RN. I am working part-time in Med-Surg Oncology and taking two classes online right now. You did all of that! Wow, I am impressed! Do you have non-stop energy : )

I passed my boards on 09/21/10 and started my job on 10/04/10...almost everyone in my class has a job as well. And I just started BSN classes this spring. It really depends on where you live, seriously!
I just started my online BSN at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Top 7 in the nation for nursing schools...if my employer didn't recognize it, I'd have to b#@$h slap them : ) As long as they're accredited by the appropriate entities, go for it...
I have a little green shamrock on the inside of my left wrist to represent my Irish heritage. It actually helped me in the interview process. I work for a hospital that, the shamrock, is their insignia : )
Hello my fellow nurses! Like all of us nurses, I know we all have our BAD shifts where everything under the sun can go wrong...so I was just curious, what do you guys do to relieve that stress after the shift is over? I was thinking about joining a...
Is anyone in the online RN-BSN program that lives in another state? I called a while ago about if I would need to fly to Maryland for orientation but no one has called me back yet...so I am assuming I don't need to. I was also assuming I would not ...
