  4. you are right... luck is an important ingredient.. two of my friends filed they documents at the same time last august 30, the other one already recieved his green card, the other one is still waiting... same center though... mine was filed last sept 29 and was already fionger printed last october 19... well i guess it has something to do with my bday... oct 19 was my bday.. .hehehehe... JOHNMD is right... luck has something to do with it... or shall i say... those who are lucky pray harder than us....

  8. ohhh not yet coz i am waiting for my SS number... although i had my initial orientation already... i am scheduled to start on the 13th coz i am expecting to receive my ss this week..... how about you?
  9. what kind of mail did you use? EMS is a lot faster... there is no problem with mails coming oout of the philippines.... mails coming inare usually the problem... especially if you used EMS philippines... it has a tracking number and there is a designated number where you can inquire for data such as, who received your letter, what time and date...
  10. it is not necessary to have trainings back home... when i was interviewed for my employment last Sept 4, the intervieweer asked me: "what is the biggest obstacle you think you will face as you practivenursing here?"... My answer was: "i think its the lackof experience in this profession.." the interviewer replied: "that is your asset. because it is better to train people that to untrain them." i am just sharing my experience, and i know this is not the general glimpse of what reality is...... but then again, with the on going retrogression, there is no point missing opportunity to train back home. Goodluck to everyone....

  16. hello, they mailed it Oct. 20 and i received it Oct 23... it was fast.. ayou also using texas processing center? did you register at the USCIS online checking? i got an email from them that they mailed my card already... you will also receive one, that is if you registered online... by the way, my papers were fmailed sept 29, and was received by USCIS October 4 goodluck
  17. just make sure you have your passport with it.. and other ID's issued by your goverment... like license, if you have it...
  18. wow... it should arrive this week... and proceed immediately to any ss administration and bring your birth certtificate and passport.. so you can apply for ss number.... that is if you ]dont have one yet congrats andgoodluck to all of us

  22. i am pretty sure you can be one of us... my cousin is a civil engineer and he is now on his 3rd year in nursing... i myself was a second courser... easier course though, Philosophy... so go for it..... :welcome:
  23. got my EAD already and went to SS administration to get a number... well i would have to wait for green card approval and i hope it will not take years to have it... :balloons:
  24. if you have a relative in US, you can also use his/her personal check..
  25. yeah did my finger printing too... well let us hope we receive it next week, by the way, which service center are you using? mine is texas...
