  1. Me Either CNM2B and if they have acrylic nails I don't want them anywhere near my food either. Honestly I don't even think they look pretty. They're so thick and un-natural looking..........had em once when I was about 16. Now I justlet my nails go natural, heck I don't even wear polish, too much trouble, but my nails look really nice........
  2. CONGRATULATIONS:roll :balloons:
  3. Maybe i shouldn't have used the term "emotional attachment" , but couldn't think of better way to put it at the time. I'm just a little worried about being in a situation where I have taken care of someone and gotten to know the family and then the patient passes. Gator, bless you, your post is exactly what i'm talking about.I know for sure that I could not work in LTC setting. I appreciate all replys, I'm sure I'll find a place where I'm needed and can do a good job without too much heartache.........just want to help make others lives better by being there for them and being a good nurse.:)
  4. lord help me, this will be on my mind for days to come, unbelievable:o
  5. Anyone?????????????
  6. this is so sad.........may God be with their friends and families.
  7. I just wanted to get your opinions about what areas of nursing I should consider going into. I'm worried about situations where I would maybe see the same patints on a daily basis and I don't want to get too emotionaly attatched with my patients. My Mom worries about me going into Nursing. She says I'm too soft hearted. I can't wait to start school(jan. 2005). I figured that when we do clinical rotations I will know more what direction I'm headed in. Anyhoo, thx for any and all replies/ advice.
  8. It's more than likely just swollen mammory glands. This happened to me during one of my pregnancys. It can't hurt to have it checked out tho, better safe than sorry.......Try not to stress too much, not good for the baby and CONGRATULATIONS to you:)
  9. Wow, those Lands End mocs do look nice. I was actually checking out shoes online yesterday and the "Jasmine" Rockers by Cherokee look very nice and are supposedly very lightweight and comfy for $50-$60.
  10. I don't know who they surveyed but from waht i've read on these forums the average pay is not as good as it looks from this article???
  11. hey that reminds me, do any hospitals provide a place (dressing room) to shower and change at the end of a shift. If they don't, they should. I know I would make good use of it. I hate the thought of bringing germs into my vehicle and my home. Hmmm............does anyone know of any studies that have been done on the immune system of Nurses, Dr.s, hospital staff...............How do they keep from getting sick All the time?
  12. yeah, they look cute and all but I was concerned about functionality. I guess they may be better suited for working in a Dr.s office, not in a hospital setting.
  13. Hello and good day everyone. I was just curious about the capri style scrubs. Does anyone wear them to work, how do you like them?
  14. hmm.........I'll have to get a calendar. Very interesting, i could swear the admissions office told me that it would be 18 mos. The last class at Natch started last Aug. and they will graduate, I'm guesing this Dec. since the new class starts in Jan., thats 16 mos..........??????? Heck, I don't know, guess I'll find out for sure next week.........I'll let you know, Lord I hope it doesn,t take longer than 18 mos..........If it does I'll deal with it tho:crying2: thx again.........
