  1. I'm in the same boat and I'm going for it. I have been placed to start my University classes this Oct and Maricopa Block one Spring2017. I have read that students do it. I have worked and work with others in a hospital who are working full time hours and attending school. I really imagine its all about time management, having support whether its from family, friends or classmates. It's definitely probably not the recommended path but life responsibilities don't go away when you start class so it comes down to doing what you have to do. If you follow the NAU/maricopa CEP fb page there are a couple discussion there about it from student who have done it or are doing it and doing it successfully.
  2. Mine took about 3 weeks around the holidays. I thought it was going to take longer due to holidays but it wasn't that bad of a wait.
  3. Microbiology was kind of a beast of it's own. I had a really good teacher a PCC and it went really smoothly. If you are going to review anything, I would recommend the various cells and their structure and function. Know the eukaryotic vs prokaryotic vs fungal. Most of the material really stemmed from that and everything branched off of that information.
  4. Received my acceptance for SCC/UIU a few days ago. From my understanding only a few schools have sent out acceptances, I think there's still a bunch coming
  5. So I turned my cep application in on May 31st and got a call from the UIU adviser that they have accepted my application and have sent it back to maricopa for notification. I have not received anything from maricopa yet but just wanted to post an update for those waiting and hoping
  6. Im taking them at phoenix college, bio 202 is fully online and bio 205 is a hybrid class, lecture is online and lab is one day a week in the evenings, the instructors are great and I have enjoyed it so far.
  7. Im doing it right now, the semester is not over obviously but its going alright, I work full time and have a family.
  8. That's great, congratulations. Sometimes we worry about a lot then life just works out, and its fabulous when it does. I hope it all continues good but it sounds like you're on the right path.
  9. Try getting a patient sitter job PRN. Most PRN jobs require minimal shifts for working and it could get your foot in the door for other hospital positions later on. The pay is not great but if your only purpose is to get in doing something that could be a good option as a 2nd very part time position. I know Honor health I think only requires that you work a minimum of one shift either per pay period or per month (not 100% sure which) but could be feasible with another job and you would at least provide connections or acquaintances if nothing else.
  10. I will re-inquire just to clarify and will update as soon as I get a response. She told me the school contract with this database is up and they are working on an alternative option until then there was no information and they would contact students as soon as more information comes up which is why I believe she indicated that as my time stamp but now I'm questioning it so I will make sure to clarify...for myself and will post for others as well:)...if anyone else reading gets similar information feel free to add or correct me if I'm wrong.
  11. Well she wrote a time and date on application and told me that was my time stamp. I dropped it off at PVCC I was told they are without a database currently and are switching to a new one so I believe that's why the time stamp came that way. I may have misunderstood but had my husband with me and he thought the same thing
  12. I just submitted my application with a time stamp of 1/7/16 159. I see there are alot of really long threads from last year, I wanted to start one for this year and have a place for pre-nursing students to post with information thats up-to-date.
