  1. The wound vac worked perfectly. It was a tunneling stage 4. The tegaderm kept the stool out of the wound when changed appropriately. It's been about 4 weeks believe it or not that wound is 90% healed. I really wish I had a before and photo.
  2. I had a patient with the same thing.... We actually used a wound vac. My wound care nurse is awesome. But usually when a sutured wound opens they want it to heal from the inside out
  3. hello everyone I am in the central NJ area. I work fulltime on a sub-acute unit LPN for 2 years mother of two boys a 7mth old and a 7 year old and microbiology is killing me. I enrolled into excelsior back in march & finally decided to get started. unfortunately micro was my course I didn't have to it is first. it has so much information I don't know where to start or where to focus. I have college network book, microbiology demsified, study group 101 & vangos notes. vangos note actually helped the most. I really cant afford to not pass this test, but this is so much information. any study tips are welcome

  7. I agree I'm nervous about the reveiews also, but the school is accreditted......... which is good ill do the studying myself I just want to pass the board, its very expensive also, but every school in new jersey has increased their prices, burlington county vo tech increases by 10,000 but they have no students loans or financial aid so I ended up settling for lincoln tech..... maybe we can form a study group or something.... I talk a few of their nursing students also they didn't say anything bad about the program, only that it was very intense as would be expected, I know I talk a lot!
  8. Yeah me too! I've been working as a cna for 3 years, and that's more than enough.........
