Hello I am in the Healthcare Policy program, can you please tell me what is expected in the practicum and what exactly do we need from our mentor?

I did my critical care rotation and my practicum in the ICU at Grady. After graduation I was employed there as a nurse extern for 8 weeks and now I am officially a Grady ICU nurse (1 week).. I love ICU, it is very hard, but I see more and did more than I ever experienced during my roation at any other hospital. I suggest you apply for a nurse residency program, that way you gain more experience and still have a nurse right by your side. Good Luck...

I applied July 14th and I was called August 21st to interview for Critical Care. I had to turn down interview because I when I applied I was working as a nurse extern at Grady hospital in ICU and I just got hired a a permanent ICU nurse at Grady. Don't get discouraged if you have not been called, they are still calling and interviewing people. Good luck..

I am so sorry you did not get in. Did they say why? Your NLN of 92 was a great score. What kind of grades did you have??

Your letter is on its way. Our horrible mail system is at fault. There are 2 spots at WGT waiting for us. We are in this together all the way to graduation day..

Fall 2010 interviews 1st week of Aug 2010. Did anyone get their letter? Please post how was the interview? And please let us know if you got into the program or not? I received my letter and my interview is Aug 3rd 10a-12p. I am so nervous, trying to go over possible questions they may ask.

Thanks, it was very hard getting a 4.0 especially since I am pregnant, my biggest fear now is the NLN, I am taking BIO2117, SPC, PSY2103 April term. I am hoping that someone that had the interview can give me pointers on what to expect also how high did they score on NLN and still got accepted into program.

I am applying for the RN program in April, for anyone that got in how was the interview? And how high did you have to get on the NLN?? I have A's in my core classes, but I am getting the feeling the NLN is what really matters not my grades.
