  1. Having kids shouldn't matter. We are all nurses and know what we were signing up for when we decided to go into the field. I had a coworker who told us she had an agreement with management to work only Mon, Tues, & Wed. We believed her til we'd had enough and went to our supervisor - who advised that we are all nurses and need to be able to work 24/7 (we are only open m-f 3 12's) My coworkers major "strength" as she considered it was that she was a single mom. Needless to say she was pissed at us when she lost her precious schedule. Well I was a single mom and can remember working every other weekend....because its what my unit did to rotate weekends back in the day. Nobody would have care kids or no kids - its whats fair for all team members. I'd keep my finger on the pulse of other positions in your hospital and see whats out there. Good Luck.
  2. Nurse2berica - Any thoughts or suggestions going into it? Did you try to do 2 classes at one time at anytime during your journey through the program? Thank you for your input.
  3. Starting CCN MSN Oct 24th - anyone else in the for the Fall? Wouldn't mind connecting.
  4. I agree I'm a CCN Alumni with my BSN. Great program, very straight forward but theres a lot of work to put into too. You know whats expected, how to do it. Professors were readily available.
  5. I will be staring in Oct. I had to have a preapproved site prior to being excepted. No the Coordinator was not helpful. You are really on your own and if you don't have contacts or are new to an area it is difficult.
  6. How'd the program end up being in the end. Have you taken your boards yet. Any thoughts or suggestions for someone going into their program. I am an Alumni - got my BSN from there. Thank you.
  7. bitheresie .... Did you get your questions answered on the doubling up? I heard you could double ups itch Dean approval on all but the 1st class and advanced assessment. How's it going for you so far?
  8. athomas 2244 How did you end up liking Chamberlains FNP in the end? Was the 2 classes at a time do able or totally taxing? Have you taken your FNP Boards yet?
