  8. Bristol Community College Nursing

It just needs to be valid through June2012 so that would be fine as long as it's through the American Heart Association..not like Red Cross or something.

I have two kids (ages 2 and 5) and I know a lot of people in the program that have more than that. If you're able to manage your time simply by having the kids then you'll be fine!

  19. Infant CPR while holding the baby on your arm...What?

My certification is through AHA for healthcare providers and we were taught to hold the baby in our arm.
  20. Confused about recapping in the medroom

I'm hearing lately that using the "scoop method" is no longer recommended. The risks of contaminating the clean needle by touching it on a surface when "scooping" is a greater risk than a stick from a clean needle.
  21. Infant CPR while holding the baby on your arm...What?

The technique is with the baby's head in your hand not in your elbow.. With the head in your hand you can properly position for an open airway. Another reason you can perform CPR this way is because you can then go get help while performing CPR ifyou...
  22. A & P question

I have found that A&P has been helpful for understanding not only viruses,etc..but also how medications work. It is important to know how drugs work on the body to recognize if something will be effective or not.

  25. So to sum up-- it's different everywhere. My ASN doesn't have a waiting list, you have to reapply every year. It's 1:20 getting accepted.. The 440 thousand plus people on this message board could put in their info too.. we could do a study on it lol....
