  1. yeah, got the same e-mail. hopefully we will hear more soon
  2. runna909, how's the job search going in CA? I just moved back to CA after graduating school - it's been already 2 months and I haven't had any luck yet! Keep the faith and I hope we will find something soon! Good luck
  3. I totally agree with the above poster! I graduated out of state and moved back to CA without any networks and work experience at hospitals - it's hard to even land an interview. School was the easier part for me You're doing the right thing of preparing ahead of graduation. Good luck!
  4. Congrats and thanks for sharing your experience with us!
  5. I've just received my CA license thru endorsement - it took about 6 weeks! I couldn't even check on the status or reach a live person on the phone. Good luck and hope yours will come sooner!
  6. good luck with the interviews!
  7. I totally agree with the above post - when I did my prereq's for nursing, I was attending 3 different community colleges around the bay area. I would stick it out here since you have a great job! I just moved back from out of state and I gotta tell you, the job market for RNs is a lot worse than trying to find classes. Start applying to various community colleges and take one class here and one there. Good luck!
  8. 35 year old new grad with BSN here. I did an accelerated program out of state - the hard part was not school but being away from my wife and baby. School was not too bad; however, looking for my first job (esp. in the Bay Area) is much tougher. Go for it man and start networking while you are in school! Good luck and you'll do great!

  10. This article is great! I've been searching for job online for 2 months without landing 1 interview I should definitely try something new. Living in the Bay Area makes it a lot worse ...
  11. Hi all, I will also be starting in spring! As per Dr. ***** we will receive the dates for the orientation and workshop at the beginning or mid of November. Facebook page - nice!
  12. Hey all, I've just received my acceptance package from MU this morning! Good luck everyone!
  13. I've received the letter on the 19th and the postcard a week later last friday.
  14. Hi all, I got a postcard saying that they have completed a preliminary review of my application and that I have been waived from the TEAS exam. As to the cost for the entire program it should be around $40k - that's what I have read on the other threads. Good luck everyone and I hope we will hear good news soon!
  15. Hi all, I've gotten my admission package in on time for the first review - hopefully it's complete. I will check with the admissions office next week to make sure my schools sent in all my official transcripts. MU is my first choice and I really hope to get accepted there, but I have at least one back up program in Green Bay that I've received a conditional acceptance from. I'm wondering how much the rent will be in Arlington but hopefully not as much as her in Cali ;-) This site is great and thanks for all the inputs!
