Whom did you see.

I am scare to death. I failed drug test. Was reported to Bon. Need to have IPN eval. I need your helping me pick a good and impartial MD. I have been in IPN before and completed. The last encounter with them was not a happy one. I went to health care connection I saw Dr. He sent me to 90days of inpatient rehabilitation which he was the partner in the rehab. Then out patient rehab then post visits. In total for the expense of 10,000. In addition to fees for IPN stuff. And 5 year contact and one year narc restrictions. Took me a year to get a job. I don't want to go though that again. So iam willing to have aipn contract with narc restrictions. But do not want to go to inpatient rehab. If I can go back to work so that I can pay for some out patient stuff or therapy. I want to know is it anybody experience with bon report rather than self reporting. I self reporting the first

I really just wanted to know if there is an age limit for an RN to be nursing.

:oornt: I am an RN, who works at a skilled nursing facility. I need advice. I am so frustrated with it situation I don't know what to do. I work 3-11 shift and work with anouther RN who is 83. Yes, thats right. She has worked there for 25 years and is way passed retirement. I know the economy is tough. But, she is really dangerous. I can give lots of examples on how dangerous she is, but I just want to know if anyone has any advice for me. I NEED HELP.

I find myself doing a 2 hour med pass. I like to talk to my residents. Find out how there day is...etc.. If someone thinks you can take the person out of nursing and just make us mindless robots then you are in the wrong profession.

You are not the only one. I have never been acused of been a bully until now. I just tell people to do their job. This PC world is tuff to live in when you want poeple to work as hard as you are.

Yea, I qould have to AGREE with the previous quote. You have just been babtisted into nursetum. Congrats. Shake it off and move on.

I have been in IPN since Jan 09. I had a job in a nursing home from mar 09 to Nov 09. I have been looking ever since. I have had several interviews and all have been great until I say I am in IPN then it is a no. I have a job interview at a hospital for the first time. To say I am gun shy is an understatement. Do I have to tell the nurse recruiter that I am in IPN? When do I tell them I am in IPN??? What is the right approach?? HELP!!!!

I am in IPN. I have been out of work since nov of 09 and have been looking for a job. I still have narc restictions to deal with. I have been on over 15 interviews and most of them was yea we would love to ave you work here, then I said IPN and it was no mostly because of a coorporate policy of not hiring IPN nurses. Is this a trend!?! What are the furture IPN nurses going to do. I have 16 years expereince as an RN and it don't mean S...! I am thinking of leaving the state or I don't know what I will do? Does anybody have any advise? What states can I move to does anyone know?

Wellthank you for responding. IPN stands for Intervention Project for Nurses. Yea we all have five year contracts, and even if you were arrested for DUI then you have a narc restrictions for one year. What happen to me is not too different from what happen to you. I had to go to rehab and spend lots and lots and lots of money to keep my licence from the board. The job that I had when I was "caught" told me they would hire me back. Yea Right. Then I looked for a job and went to work in a nursing home. Worked there for 8 months and the nurse passing my narcs hated me and wanted me fired and tried everything she could to get me fired, she finally got what she wanted, they found some pills in my purse I never saw any nor did I have any they were not narc pills they were reglan, yea thats right she set me up. Well after that, I had to have another evaluation 450 dollar worth. Then IPN restarted my narc restrictions, and I can only work days or 3-11. That was in Nov been looking for job ever since. Had over 10 interviews and all say the same thing no because of the IPN. The narc restrictions is the worst. There have been times when I just want to say F it but what do you do then, I have 3 kids and bills just like everyone else. It has been a nightmare, I also have to go to meetings, which I pay 40 a month to go to. We have once a month UDS which are 42 per month, you call this number for your color. The meeting is a joke, they dont help you at all. So my advise to you is dont come to Florida. Hang in there. You could have a 5 year contract.:)

Ipn has their hands on me also. I am having to start my narc restictions over and only work days. I need help finding a job now, which is going to be imposable.
