  1. Seems to me if you lost this new job or for other unforeseen problems you had to leave you would not go back to the first one. RUN!!!!!!!!
  2. Respctfully by last name, only the patient can say "call me ????"
  3. There is nothing and every thing I could say, having two teens and (1) 25year old I have had so many bad dreams of what could happen to them, why were they so distant and depressed mostly my daughter. I cried rivers of tears for the stress they go thru, it seems I never went through. Therapy and plenty of encouragement is the key. Let him always know how important life is here with him. Nothing is worth a life. God excluded. He is blessed to have you with him. Pray. I'm Send up mine for you and him.
  4. It is just so hard to comprehend that is not enough rooms to take care of that. Mary's mom you stay brave and very dilligent in watch over Mary. Most virurises can't live without a host. You have Microbiology on your side along with my Prayers
  5. You are precious. My prayers are also with you
  6. i recently lost my niece of 7 years. she drowned. after three days of life support. i realized that nicu is a very intense unit, yet the three days we ie: the family spent day and night with her. not once did any one come to us and prepare this very untimely death. on the eve of her dimise i came to the unit seeing and reconizing the end i was told i could not be there. not only was i angry but the tone was hard to swallow. still no-one for family to talk to. her mom was asleep in the next room i sat by her. she asked how is she i stated in the hands of god. she died 1hour later. still no one. her mom of course was devastated. i was the last to tell her auntie loves her we will meet again. i was outdone that not even a chaplin was called for the grieving. aren't hospital dealing with the whole patient and concerned about the family? are there no pallitive, or hospice resources? also so nurse training on empathy. 'you must go plays thru my mind every day. you will never hear this out of my mouth ever. auntie luvs u my little angel
  7. hospital meg/surg 9-11 longterm 15 state is VA
  8. [/:deadhorse FONT] I see all the posts detesting the way you wer approached, Yet all to often it is done again and again. We can only hope one day ? all will realize we all have a place and the best way is to respect all.
  9. I bought one and quacked up:chuckle Not every thing is so serious:twocents:
  10. I use to say the same exact thing:beercuphe I'm still a Nurse:cheers:
  11. undefinedundefinedundefinedsince when do we value knowledge over a individuals gender. we again are trying to judge when this is not our place. so study on brister. become the best nurse you can be god is my judge
  12. undefined amen you are very right i have seen the same.
  13. :imbar i am a nurse of 18 years i smoke, and have smoked for over 20 years. lets look at the situation, when taking care of an alcoholic do you have problems going out and having a drink after work, at home or at the bar, ect... i don't think so. it is our god given right to have a choice. what i choose effects myself. i as grown-up i made the choice to smoke as do others choose to drink and enjoy other things that are not healthy for us, the could be over eating, smoking, drinking, drugs ect... i take my breaks when i have time if i don't, i smoke when i get off. when are we going to stop being every-ones judge and jury? i have other things to worry about, whether someone is driving drunk while my childern are out at the mall catching the bus home! :imbar not all lung cancer is from smoking! we are all as nurses educated on a vast realm of things we still do what we do, and you know what i mean. we all have a vice maybe you have not figured out what it is, maybe it is spelling, so that is why we have dictionaries :) blessed are the pure in heart
  14. HI I would very much like to go into this aspect of medical field, I am currently a LPN, working in the Washington Dc. area will be moving to Fl in about 2years please i would love to learn work and experince this. caj Mark
  15. I have been saying this for many years. But as far as Corp. is concerned it is the aquity not the no. of patients to nurse. I feel so very bad for the CNA's who have to change, wash and get up so many patient's prior to the morning shift coming in, whom I might add are very well staffed to be able to care for 6 to 10 patients feed and change them. The whole system really needs revamping. I've worked nights for more than 12 years love the peace hate the low staff ratio God is the light
  16. My husband works for a bakery, he gets better benefits, same pay wages as I do with less stress. Huuummmm, go figure.
  17. I our now days of high stress, low pay, partial benifits, and no employer/employee loyalty, why risk working to be exhusted beyond your wildest dreams to have your house, car, saved 401k taken from you because you missed an inital some where. God bless everyone
  18. some times you get the short end of the stick, but you can still let the new managers know how you feel about the situation. Remember the more people you have with the same issue the better they will listen. Be Strong and Be Blessed
  19. First as a working LPN of 18years I would never ask any one to do a proceedure that required training. This means that they are working under your license and if something should occur you will be the one held responsible. It is really plan and simple when in doubt don't do it. The only trained person you know for sure is your self. God has blessed us with the power of thought and choice. Choose God.
  20. I really liked the work and I would love to work with the sheriff's dept any time, even the staff was not bad. I was just the sneaky way the admin. let the LPN's do all the foot work the make it seem that we were not a vital part of the team when in essence we were the team. When the RN's couldn't draw blood or do screens or even change a bandaid,God forbid they would have to pass meds. Yes cut cost, not order meds keep inmates when they needed Hospital care are a high concern for me. I was very blessed to have the experience It truely helped with my nursing diversity God is all thing big and small
  21. [/font]tell him heres an idea you write me up, i write you up for not following policies. short and simple. we have a paper party. god is love.
  22. undefinedundefinedundefinedi have talked with many in this area who has worked with cms and they all have had some unfavorable experinces with them. i am an lpn but a few that i have talked with were rn's, cms seems to favor rn's more so than lpn's we seem to be expendible, or better non-nurses so this is the way we are treated as employee's. i do wish you all the best on your move and maybe you will have better luck god has blessed me now i pass it on to you.
  23. undefinedundefinedi do realize that it has now become a corporation business, but being a nurse for a long has taught me that even in this ever changing world we must treat everyone on thier merrits and not on a robotic scale this is the only way you will get quality work as well as long staying employees. with insurance comps, and lay-persons dictating the way and how patients are cared for by time my ills come down on me i hope just to expire at home without the trials and tribulations corporations who only think about the money and can't even give me a respectable retierment fund after working till i drop god is where all blessing flow, thank you lord for being able to serve you.
  24. correctional medical services, they are contractors for many jail departments, shierff departments, and so on:nurse:
  25. :angryfire this company should be investigated for unscrupless behavior and all employess should take out an class action suit against them. the things the do and the way they train their adminstrators is insane. this is not the american way, or maybe it is keep the honest working class down. what i saw and what was done to me is to long to put down here. all i do know don't make cms a career. god has blessed me now i pass it on.
