The College Network
Elkpark is right. Be very careful signing up for this program as they will hold your feet to the fire and insist on full payment even if you change your mind. I am going to have to file bankruptcy just to erase this debt and my credit will be ruined for a long time because I did not read the fine print. It is not pay as you go as most legit college's are. If you stop using them they will demand that you pay. My opinion is to stay away and if you still decide to use them read EVERY paper the shove in front of you to sign. They will try and rush the signing of these papers and that is how I got into trouble by thinking that I could read them later on and get out of it if I wanted to. They use high pressure salesmen ship like a used car dealer. Any college that wants all money up front and not pay as you use does not have your best in mind.

Lawsuit Against The College Network
i have nothing good to say about this so called college. my personal opinion is to stay away and sign nothing because once you sign you are in debt and they do not care one ounce about your reason for dropping. you are on the hook for the entire amount of the entire course no matter how much of it you use. i think of it as if i were to be accepted to a state university, and had to drop the state would not charge for classes not taken, only those you completed. not true with this company. the first course i received was anatomy and had the word "sample" superimposed over the top of every page that appeared to be copied on a poor copy machine. the quality of the material was very poor, blurry and not professional looking. i was accepted to another program and i went with them instead and i am much happier. i am actually learning and not just patted on the back by the so called counselors that i called for help. becoming an rn is expensive enough without making the mistake of signing with this company. learn from others mistakes and do not get suckered into their program. this is one man who has learned his lesson, (a very expensive lesson). if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is...

The College Network
The same thing with me, in my opinion this company does not have the students best interest in heart. I am paying for a service that does not work for me. I found out that I need stuctured learning but the could care less. Do not sign up if you have any doubts.

LVN to BSN university ot phoenix
Hi I am in the Modesto UOP LVN/BSN upgrade. It is not easy as some poeple have put it but it can be done. I am in A&P and in three more classes I will start the nursing classes! I am really enjoying it. If you can do not stop at the LVN thats what I did in 1984 and I am just now getting around to this upgrade. Do it know while studying is still fresh in your mind because it is real difficult to get back in to the swing of things after no school for such a long time. Good luck to you...

passing meds for 57 residents??
Several years ago I worked for a California State Prison as a Medical Technical Assistant, basicaly a nurse with a badge. I worked pm's and averaged 300-350 inmates for med pass during an 8 hour shift. It was very difficult to accomplish the task of passing medications without help but that was how the state made us work. The amount of errors made during pill line was astonishing and I will never place myself into that position again. (no matter how much money they pay)

Why I Became an LVN
I recieved my training to be a LVN in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman when I challenged the boards in California and got my license in 1988. Since then I have always been kicking myself for not getting my RN and moving up. Well guess what, I am 45 and in a BSN program now in California. I know its tough to find work but have patience. Get your BSN and then you can find a job anywhere in the states with your RN. I wish you luck and keep up your spirits. This is a good job that we do...

How to pay for going back to school.
I am 45 y/o m and I recently went back to school for the BSN program while working full time. I've been doing it for about a year now and I can tell you I am tired. I have 3 more pre-req's and then on to the good stuff:yeah: I will not quit now because I am getting to the nursing portion real soon and when I am done I will be the only person in my family with a degree. Keep at it....

lpn wanting to earn my rn
In my opinion stay away from the college network, way to expensive for what you get and if you are not a self starter with an abundance of motivation its not worth it. For me I need structure, and thats why I am in the University of Phoenix LVN-BSN. Good luck...
