  1. Hi, my advice to you would be "no". I did that after I graduated from LPN school 9 yrs ago. You never know where they are going to place you. Honestly, I would recommend an environment you can familiarize yourself with everyday. I mean your new to this anyway, so find one place your comfortable, gain some experience there and then move on from there. Yeah, I know the pay is good for agencies, but you never know your schedule either, or if you'll have work for a week. Hope I didn't put a damper on your decision. Best of Luck in whatever you decide.
  2. Thank you very much for all of your helpful info. I think I will do the ISU program, I've heard lots of good replys about them. Thanks again.
  3. Hi, thanks for the comments. I live in KY. So you did good with the online studies? Everyone tells me it takes a lot of self-discipline, but if I set my hrs aside and knew I had to do it and was paying the money I hope I'll do fine. where do you live?
  4. I'm new to this site. I have been an lpn for 9 years and want to persue my rn. I have been looking into it for months now. It's very overwhelming just trying to find a school. Can someone tell me what is the first step to take to earning my RN. I have to work my full time job, is distance learning doable or not? I r/o TCN. Does anyone have any info. about ISU distance learning lpn-bsn? I have a copy of my transcripts, should I try to finish up what prereqs I need online somewhere to see if I can do it. Or should I just go at night toa tech. college? PLease HELP?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  6. I'm an lpn, I need information about lpn to rn programs. I've searched several schools, would like to try something online, d/t the convenience. I r/o TCN, not many very good responses on here about them. Does anybody have any suggestions about Excelsior College? They really sound good, but I would have to go to Atlanta GA to complete my clinicals. Also, do you'll suggest adn or bsn? thank you, any info would be greatly appreciated.
