  1. Am waiting for CPNE testing date. The notes were GREAT!! Now for my real phobia, MATH. What math will I need to know and formulas. Thanks in advance. KBPN, hope to be KBRN soon.
  2. There is a program started this year for LPN at a tech school in NC. Dont remember name, but contact NCBON at 919-782-3211. Let me know how it goes. Good luck.
  3. Need help with CPNE study material. Do any of you guys have Robs video or your own study materials for sale. Help!
  4. I always bought the older edition which was Much Cheaper and studied with that. An example was the Psych book called for edition 5 and I bought edition 4 for next to nothing. I don't think the material really changes much at all. Saved some money and every bit saved helps!
  5. I passed NC7 today with A. NC1 was my hardest and the only C I ever made. I do not advise anyone to pay for the 8 wk online help that EC charges $175 for. I read and read again and paid for Practice Exams which are well worth the $65. Best of luck. PS: If you go to the Exams tab at EC home page and then scroll down toward end on right side and log onto technical you can get statistics for passing and grades for each exam. I always looked before testing to see what my odds were.
  6. I just passed Excelsior's NC 7 today. Next on to CPNE Yikes! Will be 50 in Oct so I am no spring chicken, but am determined. I will have a RN position where I have been working once I Pass CPNE. Go for it, study hard and you can do it! Seems easier when you are older, maybe have more time to study or more wisdom with age like fine wine. Let me know how things go.
  7. Thanks so much! Have the address for Robs care plans and will use. Will keep you posted on how it goes.
  8. Great info! Please send me your entire experience, how you studyed, any outside study plans used. I am about to test for NC7 and complete my application for CPNE. Current wait time is 5 months, which makes my time to test around Feb. You are an angel and I will apply your advice
  9. Am going to test for NC7 Sept. 1, hope this one is easier. Made an A on NC5, I really concentrated on the fluid/electrolyte, diabetes, dialysis areas alot because I knew the Psych was going to be difficult. I found the Practice Exams very helpful with this test and concentrated my studies on the areas the tests went over. They are well worth the money. I made in the 60s on both tests. Dont give up, no matter what!!
  10. Thanks to all who had time to reply. I will definitely listen and probably study then find a close workshop to help with jitters. I think money spent will be worth it. Are any of you guys going on for BSN?? How was your EC experience? Mine has been good, but long. Am taking my Foundations Test on Sept. 1 then onto apply for CPNE. Hope to test around Feb. waiting time right now is 5 months. Again, thanks, I will keep you guys posted and be asking for Help along the way, I'm sure. Good day to all.
  11. I am in need of any advice, HELP with how to be successful with my upcoming CPNE test with Excelsior. Very nervous, am better at studying and taking written test. I am very confident with clinical after I have done certain tasks several times. Work in MR LTC currently. Thanks in advance. PS: Are the training courses offered to help you with CPNE $400?? worth money?? KP
