:welcome: i thik this is the worse advice i have ever heard. he or she waysadvise on skilss, learning experieces, mot advice on how to fullfills someone's grandiosity, of thiking students should be bringing things to them, shame om you, we need to start treating students well, they do not just do a great job, but they are vital part when we are busy, plus dont forget they migth be working next to you one day.i did my senior preceptorship in the Er as well and i loved it, the preceptors were great, loved to teach, and i love to be hands on,so I had no problems, I also came in with goals, so from day one, I told everyone there what was that I wanted to get out of it and I did. I had a great successfull rotation. good luck to you and I am sure you will or did great already.

Where I Work In Sf, We Once Had A Nurse Name Wy. (pronounced Why) And One Time One Of The Residents Came Into The Report Room Asking Who Was The Nurse For Mr? And I Said, Wy And He Sayd ,because I Need To Give Her A Verbal Order, And I Said Wy And He Got Very Upset, Untill Everyone Started Laughing And Told Him That Her Name Was Wy. Another One Is We Had A Pt Name Ho, And It Was Very Hard To Say Good Morning Mrs Ho Also I Had A Pt Who's Last Name Was Cerda, Which Means Female Pig In Spanish, And She Was 350 Lbs By The Way, So I Was Embarrased To Call Her Name, And She Was Hispanic Too.

ok, mlet me say soemthing here, if one hae student loans to pay d=for and parking and scrubs, that si your choice, no one or a maid made you get into debt, so please stop thisw, are we really talking about salaries for nurses or putting maids down. they desere what tehy ccharge and more, i know i payed one guy 460 for 2 1/2 hours to clean my 3 bathrooms onbly and i have no complains, i make enough as a RN to pay for taht and not have to stress over cleaning, so hurray for hous ekeepers taht make money and do the job good

I recomend croc shoes, thay are like if you are walking on air, try them you wont be sorry.

I made $30 as a lvn , iam currently a RN and make $45 plus %nigth shift differential, this is just the 3rd step in pay where I work. also let me remind you housekkepers work very hard and deserve to be pay more, they really do a lot and are not easily reconigsed or respected for their job. we as Nurses already make a decent salary, I know more is better,still want more come on there is enough for everyone.please worry about your own pay and not others..... also please do not look down on people because of their job or education, there has to be a job for everyone rigth? well there has to be a job for people to clean, since there are many that prefer to pay for some one to clean up after them, so therefore there are housekeepers and they deserve to be pay what they work for. hurray for housekeepers, yeeee.

I think GOOD IDEA WOULD BE TO COME UP WITH DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PLAY TIME OF TABLE GAMES OR HAVE PLAYSTATIONS FOR THE KIDS TO PLAY WITH NURSES AMYBE, MAYBE DO SOME CRAFTS OR MAKING OTHER THINGS. YOU KNOW WHATS REALLY FUN, HAVE THEM MAKE BUTTONS WITH THEIR NAMES OT PICTURES ON IT.

I think that you really need some therapy base on your description of your state of mind. i dont think is wise to give you any other advice. let me tell you that to be license as a nurse yuo have to be in good mental health, does anyone know whta that means? good luck and take care of your self firts so than you can take care of otehrs.

I THINK WORKING NIGTHS IS OK, I BEEN DOING IT FOR 9 YEARS AND I HAVE A 12,13 YEAR OLD AND A 19 MONTH OLD. I ALSO ATTEND SCHOOL FULL TIME AND WORK 3 -4 12 HOURS NIGTH SHIFT, BUT WHEN I GET TO BE AROUND 40 OR FINISH SCHOOL I PLAN TO GO DAYS MAYBE. TRY IT
