  1. Hey, I graduated in June and just passed my NCLEX-RN last week! I'm ecstatic and am now looking at RN-BSN programs. I'm thinking Chamberlain, they give you 80 credits for having your license and it seems pretty flexible; they are expensive though. Do you guys have any advice or suggestions? Much appreciated!!
  2. Same here! Kaplan saved me, they are as close as it comes to the actual NCLEX-RN, I passed at 82 !
  3. ok the trick definitely works!! I took the NCLEX-RN on Sept. 22 and tried to "re-register" that evening & it gave me the infamous pop up! This morning, Sept. 24th, I got my results and I PASSED!!!! Its the most amazing feeling ever to know that all of that hard work has finally paid off. BTW my exam consisted of 85Q's, 9 sata's, 3 math (all Dopamine Calc.), Majority being Med-Surg, with some Peds... I couldn't have done it w/o the support and pointers of allnurses.com! :loveya:
  4. I took mine this morning as well! My first attempt led me through 265 agonizing questions, this time I had 85Q's w/ 8-9 SATA's. I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight! I tried the "pearsonvue trick" and it gave me the message saying that I cannot reschedule at this time & their records indicate that I already have this test scheduled.. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? :chair: & is the trick reliable?
  5. thanks guys! Btw I caught THE only cold before my exam and ended up re-scheduling it for next Tuesday (22nd) =( . BUT it's alright because I re-scheduled for a different location, which I really wanted to do in the first place. Anyway, Good Luck to everyone taking it this Month & keep me in your prairs :heartbeat :typing
  6. I took it on July 15th in the afternoon so now I rescheduled for the morning exam :wink2: Tried to change things around around a little, up the odds of my passing. Glad to hear I'm not the only one in this boat! I do pray everyday and will do so for you as well, hope to hear good news from you by the end of next week! :typing
  7. thanksss:cheers:
  8. hey guys ok so I took the NCLEX the first time in July and failed with 265 questions; it was torture. My anaylsis report claimed that I "came close to the passing average" for all of the sections given. My first question on that exam was a math question and for some reason I already had that feeling that this test sitting isn't mine. So since then I've been doing NCLEX Q's left & right and time is ticking... Im taking the exam again next week on Tuesday and am getting a little nervous.I feel like I should be doing something more than just questions but when I look at books for content review, I get overwhelmed with the amount of imformation in EACH topic to review and put the book away to return to my Q's. This has been my vicious cycle Anyways, I DO have some faith in my passing being that I graduated with a great GPA, I'm just getting the jitters and am wondering if what I am doing is remotely enough to PASS this exam. PS..I just came back from vacation & got engaged!! which makes it SO much harder to focus but I'm doing my best! -Need words of wisdom & courage
  9. same here, I'm taking it again in September and failed at 265 Q's the first time in July, im doing Kaplan Q's, just started LaCharity's book, and have Mosby's for reference.. Hope that'll do the trick! oh an ofcourse refering to allnurses for hints/tricks Good Luck to the both of us! Let me know how you do
  10. hey guys Im going on a trip to europe and will be returning back to NY on August31st. When do you think I should retake my NCLEX, a week later or two weeks later? Need advice! My bf claims a week later not to keep stalling for time and my friend claims two weeks later to give me enough time to come back to normal time(since we have an 8 hour time difference) and enough time to get back into study mode.. Advice?
  11. Im doing Kaplan practice tests and am averaging about 72% overall...but I do about 30 Q's at a time, not 150, so does that mean that i'll be "ready" to take the NCLEX when i get above 65% taking 150 questions? not sure...
  12. Ari, I just graduated in NY and am looking for a job in peds, any suggestions? It seems pretty dead out here for new grads even though its the city.. its kind of strange, I didn't expect it to be this bad honestly :trc:
  13. Lung CA is a common cause of SIADH which results in an increased water absorption and dilutional hyponatremia... THAT COMES UP OFTEN! ^
  14. 2 quick facts: clozapine (Clozaril) can cause agranulocytosis so teach pt to watch for sore throat and fever! phentoin (Dilantin) is EXTREMELY hepatotoxic; if liver is impaired, may cause toxicity of Dilantin b/c it can't be metabolized & builds up
