  9. I took health safety in April 2010, yes April 2010 and finally decided to enroll, currently studying for transitions hope to have it done by end of October.
  10. i took health and safety april 2010. i had to delay taking transitions due to work and family demands. i would like to take transitions before enrolling. any recommendation for study aides for this exam will be appreciated. thank you very much.

  13. hi, use this experience as a learning opportunity. the excelsior tests are not easy. i just took h&s about 1 month ago and i am currently studying for transitions. from my experience you need to get the content guide from excelsior or download it from their website, buy the fundamentals book,read the chapters and make notes. good luck and keep going at it.
  14. i work on a sub acute unit we give heparin, fragmin, lovenox renagel, sensipar, phosphlo lots of insulin reg nph 70/30 lantus apidra ..... good luck on your interview

  18. Tasha I think once you registered for the exam you can purchase the practice test. You can take H&S without being enrolled so you might not have to wait for excelsior to evaluate your transcipt to purchase the practice test.
  19. i would also recommend taking the practice tests and using the excelsior study guide with the recommended reading. h&s is basic nursing and with the schedule you have outlined for yourself you should be okay.
  20. have you thought about applying to an lpn program? then maybe somewhere down the road in the future you can apply to excelsior to do the rn. good luck and all the best.
  21. i took h&s on 4.12.10 using the excelsior study guide and doing the practice exams helped me a lot. good luck on your exam.
  22. i took the first practice test i got a 72, on the second 70 i did some studying for 2 weeks or so about 20 hrs in total. i actually took the second practice test on the day of the real exam. i used the excelsior study guide and read the chapters from the fundamentals book.
