New RN on job hunt
Hi! I am a new Rn in Nevada. I'm so upset because no hospital is hiring a new RN. :-( I'm starting to become hopeless. How are nurses in your state specially the novice nurses? Please help me.. I need to have a job so badly.

The Nclex is very very hard.
I believe that nclex-rn is hard. I just wonder why some people say nclex is easy after passing the exam when they say it's hard right after the test? Or maybe, the questions which were given to them were not that hard. I think they were the fortunate ones, were'nt they?.. I already passed nclex on my second try. I took it the first time without much giving attention with content. It was fine, i just laughed at it.. But I am sure to myself that i am capable of passing it the next time around. The CPA board that i took few years ago was way harder than nclex. But I still say nclex is hard and like us, you can also pass. The second time, i studied content and i answered thousand of questions. I think, to pass nclex, study content and improve test taking skills. Remember, there's a lot of questions that can be given to you in the exam, you need test taking skills/strategies if a certain unfamiliar disease,dx,drug,etc..will be given to you. But sometimes, you cannot really figure out the correct answer without knowing the content. Even kaplan's strategies won't work. Prayer is still the most powerful to pass nclex. Remember, God listens to our prayers. He gives to us the license we're praying for at the right time. If He didn't give it to you the first, second, third, fourth time, I'm sure He will give it to you at the right time. Have faith!

Are there hospitals hiring new RNs in Vegas?
After i applied online, i received emails saying "We are pleased you would consider joining our dynamic, entrepreneurial team. Your resume has been forwarded to the recruiting team assigned to your chosen job. If you are among the candidates selected to interview, you will be contacted directly by one of our recruiters regarding the process and timing." As of now, all i can do is pray pray pray... I don't know how long should i wait for their call. I just hope they will... What about you? Did you apply at Valley? I hope we can a job soon... It sucks.. So depressing knowing that so many entry level RNs are still jobless.

Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
- failing at 1st attempt = can't be RN in California?
Definitely not true!(nonsense at all).. If you hear/read issues like this, call directly California BON or better go to their website.- Are there hospitals hiring new RNs in Vegas?
I passed nlcex-rn last august. I also live in Vegas but I am an international graduate.I took the California board and i already applied for my reciprocity. I have my temporary license here in Vegas already. I passed my resume only this week. But what makes me upset is that whenever i see the job qualifications they are hiring experienced RNs! What about us entry-level RNs? I also have two friends who passed for 3-5 months now and are still unemployed. Do you think we have chances of getting hired since we don't have work experience as RN? I badly need to get a job..- How hard is the NCLEX???
I agree with KAYBDT. It depends with the questions that will be given to the test taker. I just don't understand other people. After the test they say, "OMG it's so hard, i'm sure i failed". After they passed, they will say, "it's not hard at all. it's not as hard as what i expected...ect.etc..." But i will say, it's hard/confusing/tricky. There are more hard questions than easy questions... You'll definitely pass if you prepared well. content+strategies+prayers=PASSED Goodluck!- Are there hospitals hiring new RNs in Vegas?
Thanks! I sent them my resume already but i am not sure if they will even consider it. .. Guys, where can i find RN job? i'm so hopeless right now.. I feel like all hospitals closed their doors for entry level nurses.- Sorry to be a pain, just need validation about NCLEX
Did you try the trick yet? If you passed, you will see your name in Ca BON after 3 working days.(except saturday and sundaY) Good luck!- Welcome To The NCLEX September Support Group
ujones00, congratulations! :nurse: rns rock!- NCLEX help
hi! I also failed on my first try and i knew i would fail before the test. I lack content when i took nclex the first time, i only focused on strategies like physical vs psychosocial, abc & maslows of kaplan. After i got the letter that i failed,i just smiled and told myself nclex-rn is not as hard as the cpa board exam. i made sure the next time i face the nclex, i would be ready enough. I answered thousands of questions and read the kaplan coursebook. I answered saunders 4th ed cd,kaplan qbank & kaplan trainers, exam cram & la charity. This time i made sure i knew a lot of content and knew when strategies work. Combination of content and strategies will make you pass nclex-rn. And the most powerful tool, prayers!!! goodluck! if we passed nclex-rn and so you can..- Nclex RN 75 questions & Pearsonvue trick
I also had 265 questions when i took it in aug.21st. I only had 10-12 SATA and 10-12 calculations. You can never tell if you passed or failed because you cannot tell if the questions are above passing or below passing. Hang in there. It's always possible to pass at 265. I was certain i failed after the test. But God is really good,i saw my name in CaBON which means i passed. Just pray, hope and don't worry. God Bless! Miss. I've been in your shoes! i took all the 265 questions as well. I went out of the testing room feeling that i bombed the test. My head was going to explode anytime. For 5 days i was certain i failed until i saw my name in CaBON website. It's always possible to pass 265 questions. Hang in there..Pray pray pray.. God bless!- Passed the NCLEX 2nd time around!!
Try pearsonvue trick.- NCLEX-RN passed with 265 questions!
- Are there hospitals hiring new RNs in Vegas?
I am a new RN. Just wondering if there's a hospital hiring new RNs in Vegas? My friend passed in March unfortunately she's still jobless. Please reply...- Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
- my take on the Nclex rn today
YOU PASSED! plant that in your mind or even to a rock. LOL!- Failed NCLEX - study/answer tips?
If you end up with two answers, ask yourself, is it desired?Does it answer the question? Then read again the question. Also, use ABC and Maslow's.- Time is ticking...
i passed on my second try with 265 questions. i took the same location, same computer and chair, but i took it 8am,my first was 12pm.- Can't sleep thinking about the NCLEX
Every test taker is anxious,nervous.. Don't let your anxiety win over you. Anxiety plays a big role in failing. Always tell yourself you can do it. You are smart and you can pass nclex. You study so hard and pay off so much time in reviewing so there's no reason for you to be anxious. Always tell yourself, you are RN after the test. Goodluck! Pray pray pray it will help you to lessen the anxiety.- some help?
You don't need to read the entire saunders book. JPractice questions & understand each rationale in every question you got right and wrong. My sisters who are also RNs here in U.S advised me to practice more questions and understand each rationale. I read kaplan course book because it is easy to understand. It covers the important contents that come out on the nclex. I read few chapters from saunders on selected topics because saunders is complete with content. I made sure i take note when i was reviewing. Because 2 days before my exam i read those notes to refresh my memory. Practice saunders q & a first before kaplan,la charity and exam cram. Because saunders has the easiest questions but full with content in each rationale. You can do it! there's a lot of advice from other threads too. I'm sure they'll help you as well. Goodluck!- some help?
Hey, believe in yourself! I am also an international graduate and took BSN for only two years since it's my second course. I admit,at first, I really lack nursing content. What helped me the most was practicing thousand of questions and reading each rationale.. It wasn't easy for me though. However, i always had the perseverance and determination to pass nclex-rn. I enrolled with kaplan complete course, answered saunders q & a cd,la charity and exam cram.I took the questions twice. I also read the kaplan course book twice. I also took 2000+ questions from nclex 3500 & lippincotte. It helped me a lot to be ready for the nclex. content is very important in nclex also the test taking strategies. Goodluck! you can do it. always tell yourself that you can pass just like others.:wink2: Miss.BSN,RN:nurse: - failing at 1st attempt = can't be RN in California?
