  1. ^dang before all of the interviews are done?
  2. Hi Coconut, the phone screening does not guarantee an interview per the HR person I talked to. I hope they do give us some notice in advance since the interviews will be in 3 days!
  3. Dude I felt the same way until I finished my preceptorship. Skills takes a lot of practice. It will all come together...
  4. Airbourne and contact
  5. PDA is definitely hard. I thought kaplan was easier than PDA
  6. knowledge deficit of medication regimen impaired skin or tissue integrity risk for infection theres alot my man
  7. Sorry OP but you obvious don't know *** your talking about. Suck it up. Just because you want to do ICU doesn't mean OB is useless. you need to know OB for the nclex and to be honest you should know this stuff anyways.
  8. straight outta hs 0. u need to do pre-reqs
  9. Even if your human development class satisfy the requirement, which I don't think it will unless you took an upper division humandev, you are going to have to replace that class with another one anyways to fullfill your upper division courses. I would recommend taking the B6 - upper division science class and fullfilling your 4 units of performing arts if you haven't done so. History of nursing and human development if you can register for those as well.
  10. lol...u guys don't need the book yet so i wouldn't worry about it. enjoy the summer. first quarter is pretty easy so...stop worrying unless you don't remember your a&p brush up on that.
  11. ^ you buy a book bundle @ orientation or after. its Expen$ive
  12. I dont think NPs work at nursing homes or SNFs and definitely not independent living dude.
  13. Because it makes ppl feel good :) I don't know. I know this is off topic but: Don't you hate it when someone blasts you on a post on allnurses about how you won't be successful in nursing school based solely on a post that you wrote and you go to check their profile and it says "pre-nursing" or "working super hard on my pre-reqs" (no offense to any1 who has this) in their bio or w/e and you are like * the * up stupid face.
  14. I took version 3/4 twice. it was the same thing.
  15. for SF state you need to have most of the supplemental requirements or they'll reject you. It doesn't matter if you have a 4.0 or volunteer hours (which I had and I still was waitlisted)....you will need to have job experience and to speak fluently in second language lol. Thank god SF State requires the teas test now so it evens out the application pool.
  16. its what we hipsters refer to it. google it. No better yet urban dictionary it. Your head might explode after you look at all the other crazy words people use today. It was an obvious play on the phrase "sausage fest" (which is my inside joke to the OP cuz hes a dude) but I guess some people can't take a joke.
  17. Yes I meant clams - obviously I can't spell.
  18. There will be more dudes than you think. It isn't a complete calm fest. Its more like a jambalaya (heavy on the calms though).
  19. CSUEB_Fall_2010_Nursing_Concord : CSUEB Fall 2010 Nursing Concord
  20. YEss I am. lol. kr3w is my bro.
  21. I would start with English, Stats, and Chem 108. I doubt you'll be able to get into all of those pre-reqs if this is your very first semester. What are you planning to do- the ADN or BSN route? Once you get some units/GE/transferable units I go w/ Chem 109, Anatomy, Nutrition in 1 semester. Go w/ Micro in the summer if u can handle it and finish w/ physiology as your last class. I would give u teacher recommendations but it will only get deleted... Use reviewum, com - b/c most of the reviews are pretty spot on. There is also this club on campus called the pre-nursing society- I would check it out if you haven't research much into schools b/c they'll give you some info/bring in nurses to talk about their experiences and whatever. (kind of boring/unhelpful most of the time IMO but w/e you might be interested).
  22. I hold the door for chicks and for dudes
