Drexel University ACNP Program?
Anyone with experience in the past or current? Havent' found a lot of reviews just checking to see if anyone has looked in to their program. Website state 100% board pass rate, tuition is good at 828 credit hour due to a ANA discount or around 1100 for no discount. I believe there are 3 on campus intensives in total, the rest is online. Any experience?

WGU Starting 9/1/15 - Question
I have to wait to September 1 to start the RN-BSN program. I have everything done except my intake interview on Monday. Once I complete that and complete the orientation part, will I be able to see the courses and is it possible work on them before September 1. I'd like to get a jump start on Biochem with the models. I know I can't submit anything until after the 1st.

TESC and WGU RN to BSN- prerequisites
I'm on my 3rd TESC course, didn't have to retake anything from EC. Also, they took all of my courses even from FEMA, Straighterline, Clep and DSST and ACE credit which saved me alot of time and money. All I had to complete is the nursing courses. Best option for me because I needed a GPA higher than 3.0, which is why I did not go with WGU. A little pricey for me as an out of state student per credit hour, but its cheaper overall in the end without all the added coursework.

Undergrad GPA?
When you say core, are you talking about nursing and science or just nursing. My BSN GPA is only nursing courses....I haven't taken any other types with that school. So for BSN core....I'm great....its just those Excelsior exams that I took, none were courses, only exams. I'm really worried about the GPA, but I've done other things to boost my application. I have my PCCN, will have CVN and CMC by years end, I precept, serve on nursing committees, completed clinical ladder at work and have a completed process improvement/clinical improvement project. I'm working on a Research Proposal for another process improvement currently.

Undergrad GPA?
So I re-calculated my GPA. My BSN GPA is 3.65 currently, with 5 classes to go. My ADN thru Excelsior was 2.52. So my cumulative right now is 2.69. I have tons and tons of CLEP and DSST credit, with only 33 credit hours making up the 2.52 GPA. I have some room in my BSN free electives that I can fill in with community college courses before I graduate. I have a total of 39 letter graded credits for my ADN/BSN, the rest are credit by exam, CLEP/DSST. Since I am still in process of completing my BSN, do you think it may be wise to take a few community college credit courses to use as free electives and make A's in them to bump my GPA. If I get all A's in my remaining BSN classes, I'll be at 3.1 cumulative and 3.91 BSN. I'm thinking about a few Edukan courses like Medical Terminology and other health related courses. Also, my science GPA is 3.0. That way, my cumulative is improved to 3.1, BSN will be 3.91, Last 60 credits will be the same as cumulative because that will put me having only 62 letter credit class/grades, since most are CLEP. Does this sound like a plan?

Undergrad GPA?
Looking for a bit of clarification. My ADN GPA is way less than stellar....2.8, I went thru Excelsior and the exams beat me up pretty bad but the actual classes I took were all a B. Since then my BSN GPA has been 3.5 and I hope it continues. I am better at writing papers than taking tests apparently. As far as getting an MSN NP......do they look at your last undergrad degree or your entire undergrad history? I've heard the term "cumulative" and references to only the last 60 credits.

Sherri Taylor Workshop 8/8- 8/10/14
You will love it! We all wore scrubs for our workshop, made packing easier. You will start to see people trickle in to the hotel this afternoon probably. I don't think I had any other emails other than you are registered. I met quite a few people that I stayed in touch with, even had my CPNE with them 2 months later at Northside and we both stayed at "Sheri's" hotel again. You will have a blast this weekend!

TAVR
Stroke is our main issue post operatively. Have seen 1 MVR done via TAVR approach on a very young person that seemed to turn out well. I think we have done 10 and I would estimate that 6 had a stroke post op. 2 have done really, really well. But they are few and far between.

Can anyone infer info on RN-BSN schools: UTEP, WGU, Texas Tech, UTA, Lamar?
@milfordmom - In my experience, they don't care and really can't tell if you went in person. Magnet matters to my hospital and magnet doesn't care where my BSN comes from as long as its accredited.

Can anyone infer info on RN-BSN schools: UTEP, WGU, Texas Tech, UTA, Lamar?
Thomas Edison. Excellent at transfer credit, no "crap" course requirements. I only needed the nursing courses (I think its 7 or 8) @ 450 per credit hour, its not cheap but doable if you use a pell grant in your case. Just finished nursing informatics, my grade was 99%. Work is very doable. Best option for me. No exams, just discussion forums and papers. NI had like 2 bibliographies, 1 paper, 1 presentation, 1 abstract. Loving it so far.

Liberty University RN to BSN
I am local to Liberty but they required more classes than Thomas Edison State College did and the tuition is almost the same. TESC was more generous with transfer, they are accredited also, tuition was in line with what Liberty was. I do not not regret going thru TESC. I think with TESC I have 7-8 classes to take (all BSN core courses) and with Liberty I would have had to take 13-14 classes. I'm in the middle of my first class with TESC and I love it so far. Chamberlain was way too much money for me even with my discount.

Post Edukan students or other schools online with lab in science prereqs
My A & P transferred no problem, the transcript was from Seward County Community College. I can tell you all of my Straighterline courses transferred into Thomas Edison State College without issue either.

ADN @ Excelsior to enrollment in WGU questions
Statistics was awful for me, hated every minute of it much like algebra. I took Business Stats. But in comparison to taking a butt in the seat or self study course, I guess I had it easy.

ADN @ Excelsior to enrollment in WGU questions
I did take a Statistics course thru Straighterline so I hope I can bypass that one, statistics scares the crap out of me. My Micro was the EC exam so I guess I can suck it up and redo it. I doubt if I start before June/July. I'm working like crazy right now. Thanks for the input!
