  1. Trainrelief.com cost the facility $40 a month. It is wonderful. If your facility wont pay for it. It is worth while paying for it yourself. Great tracking.
  2. As A NEW RN w/6 yrs lpn exp
  3. Not suprise. Your at Galen, All about the money.Did they ever get accredited or are still selling they have applied for accreditation.
  4. How do you get information on this program. It sounds good.
  5. june 2010
  6. She Need to fax CMS or ACHA a letter stating she is not the DON of record. This is very important.
  7. I'm planning on moving to Georgia in june 2010. I wanted to know what georgia pay MDS coordinator, unit manager, ADON, Staff development with experience. I was looking on monster.com and say that Kindred health care was hiring. Need some advice on pay rate in Georgia. Plan to get some Home health to be more marketable. I am currently making 31.25 here in FL for risk manager/staff development. (it's salary and it sucks. ) I made more as an LPN working in MDS with over time on the floor.
  8. Why would anyone go Galen and pay all that money for an education.
  9. I believe it work I tried after 24 hrs and at 36 hrs and it would not let me register. At 48hrs i paid the 7.95 fee and i passed. I am still waiting on the state of fl to give me a license number. As an LPN to RN is was very scary I had a lot riding on this exam. Using this trick did ease the anxiety
  10. Taking mine 7-12-09 scared as hell
  11. Well I would have to say Go for all LPN's that works at unit managers and any management position. LPN's in most states work up under the DON and Administrator License. I work for Senior Health Management here in Florida, they have buildings in Boston, and I will tell you that management company say the state survey there are nothing like Florida. What Florida would get Immedidate Jeopardy. Boston would get a pat on the back. I have worked in LTC for 7 years as LPN I have held multiple positions as LPN. MDS for 4 years, Risk manager for 2 years. yes, I am certified as a risk manager. I have acted as the ADON. I am back in nursing school. New RN's are at time clueless d/t experience. I have ben to Florida state board of Nursing, for training purpose. I have never experience a RN getting her license pull for a LPN. I have seen RN and LPN license pull for drugs and facility turning license in for nurses not passing meds. Most LTC rename forms such as Data collection. so no Rn assessment is not needed. Some RN's do have what we call RN' itis.
  12. I believe Polk Community College is part time and start in January. The program i heard is a lot of self study and demanding.
  13. on Rap triggering for delirium. If u don't feel that it is true delirium. explain the situation and check the box for no need to care plan. If u check change in behavior or mood that will trigger delirium.
  14. most LTC facilities offer no weekends and no on calls. Depends on experience for pay. If your plans is to do Medicare MDS it can get overwelming at times ande that too depends on the facility. MDS coordinator or the new term Clinical reimbursement specialist or director are few to find in some areas.
