:yawn:Sadly No there a waiting list until SUMMER OF 2011!!!!!!!!!!!! And they have a lottery Now so I decided to take my pre- reqs at my cc and then attend Chamberlain College of Nursing next yr March/June Good Luck. I know that some City of Chicago College has lottery and some don't if I hear anything I'll be sure to leave you a message.

I had the hardest time sending you an email. However, I will be starting my pre-reqs course(english, psyc. sociology,speech, and I took a Math as well.) at ECC Thanks you so much for the advice it really help. I was surprise it was so easy it was. I made an appt and give them a list of the classes I wanted to take and I had a scheldue. I start Aug:yeah: and wanted to get a few a semester so I'm not rushing myself. Most likely I will try and sttend Chamberlain next year in June. Good Luck and K.I.T. please

Yes, I was informed they had a waiting list NOW:crying2:... so I won't be attending there school after all. I have decided to attend a school much closer to my own house(I live in Elgin) about 15-20 minutes closer that Chamberlain in Addison. Looking to start in June next year as I am taking my Pre- Reqs course now. Good Luck to you

Re: Chamberlain College of Nursing - Addison I went to their Open House a few months ago, and they emphasized completing the FAFSA form even before you get accepted. Hope this helps! Thanks SillyJo I wasn't 100% sure

You become irate at people who do. Your school classes were canceled because of the cold. You've ever had to switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day. You end your sentences with an unnecessary preposition. Example: Where's my coat at?" or "If you go to the mall I wanna go with," (is there something wrong with this)? You carry jumper cables in your car. You realize that I-290, I-90, I-94, and I-294 are all different roads. You refer to any interstate highway as "the Tollway." Chamberlain College of Nursing is located 30 minutes from my house. I spoke with Josh Ryan(great guy) about the program. Although they do offer pre-reqs course it's very PRICEY!!!! I decided to take course at my community(E.C.C) Does anyone know if you can apply your financial assistance to the course. I have been trying to contact Josh about this matter and have had NO Luck!!!

First, thanks for replying. I personal don't want a online school, I learn better in classes vs the online process.I have heard alot about Wilbur Wright College and especially there LPN Programs. That also a school chose of mine. Good luck, and K.I.T. with that. However, I have decided to start my Pre-Reqs course over the summer and work(FT) After a lot of back and forth and wanting to start the next avaible course I took a breath and just decided that I wanted to be a "great nurse" not a fly by get this class over with so I can make X $$$. It was then that I decided to take my basic English, Math and then next semester do Psych 201 and maybe a Bio 226(as I have heard that doing them back-to back_ is not a good idea.)then Bio 227. I would like to apply for a city college in Chicago, IL. I would like to know the best program for Nusring, the pre-reqs classes, and how long it took you to complete the pre-reqs before enrolling in Nursing Programs.

You sound a lot like me!!!! I live in IL, & you have to have a C.N.A. first to get into LPN/RN. I am also a mother of two boys 3 & 1. I have enrolled into a C.N.A. class which takes 5 weeks and during the summer I plan to take a few pre-reqs course for L.P.N. While working as a CNA. My mother who as RN always said you could tell the best nurse because "they were once a C.N.A." Enroll in a CNA class get the basic the setting of the job. Working on your CNA will allow you to make money for your family and then you can start LPN course work FT/PT and step higher up the scale to "success"

I live in Elgin , IL and the C.N.A. jobs start at $11 and the most is $16. Even new grads have a $300 sign-on and make $11,$12 . Not so bad

Thanks. I had the chance to look at a lot more school in Chicago. I like Truman but there something about Kennedy King that I love. I have heard so much about their Nursing Program and the Nurse that have been there all love K.K.C. Do you know of any people that have been there in last few years? Thanks Be Blessed
