Anyone have experience w/ nursing in the military?
I'm getting ready to take the NCLEX, and had given thought to doing nursing for the military. I enlisted already having my BSN (dumbass, I know) into the reserve (AF). Ideally I guess I'd like to remain in the AF and do it for them, but I don't really care what branch really. Just wanted to hear from anyone who had experience in that, and what the pros/cons are to nursing as a civilian. I think I'd like to explore the possibility of a conditional release from my contract once I get my RN license in order to pursue a commission, rather than try to apply for one while still enlisted (seems easier to get a commission from the outside). If I have to wait for my contract to be over, I may not make the cut (age wise) anyway. I believe I'll be 31 by the time my contract expires thanks -Sydney Shaw

Expect to take nclex in December after, 1.5 years AFTER graduation - advice?
I took it once before after graduating but was not successful. After that I pretty much gave up on it and went about my life. I'm going overseas until about october, but would like to get the ball rolling on re-attempting the nclex. This time I plan to use suzanne's plan in addition to Kaplan's nclex prep course. My concern is that I have been out of school for so very long at this point and remember VERY little of what I learned back in school. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in taking the nclex long after school and if anyone has any advice for getting back up to speed. It seems like rather daunting task to re-teach myself 2 years of content that I pretty much already forgot thanks in advance

Would you seek medical treatment at the place you work?
no way I'd be more comfortable in an environment where I could be honest when they go through my history :zzzzz

Cialis/Viagra for good grades
it's just like adderal/ritalin only downside would be having difficulty sleeping after taking the exam. Usually required xanax or something to finally get some sleep. certainly don't miss those days

Passed Nclex 75 Questions THIRD TIME! Read if you have ever felt down about this test
congrats! I just failed it back in Dec @ 265 questions. I got really depressed and did a lot of drugs (not a great way to cope lol) I'm kinda over it, not sure when (if ever) I will retake the exam.

Failed Nclex at 265 questions
Didn't know it varied from state to state. In FL you have up to 3 attempts beforehaving to take a remediation course.

Failed Nclex at 265 questions
I don't believe so I know if you fail 3 times you have to take some kind of remediation course, but you're not required to take that unless you've failed three times
