  1. Hang in there! I'm sorry to hear about you not passing. I'm preparing using Suzzane's plan now. You can do it! Everybody is right saying take some time! Be good to yourself and start again after the holidays. Also, it's helped me to give myself grace. Maybe it can help you. Take care.
  2. I like what ambitious1022 said. You can still be a very good nurse if you had to take NCLEX more than once, etc. It's what you do after you pass that will determine the type of nurse you will become. Choose well!
  3. Take it from someone who tends to be hard on themselves. Give yourself grace! And keep practicing and every opportunity you can. Best of luck.
  4. Hi. Some background before I answer your question. I graduated in May of this year. I did not pass the first time. I struggled in nursing school getting C's. Took a review prep course took NCLEX b/c I had a job lined up. Also failed a 2nd time. Now preparing a third time and lining up with Suzzane's program using the Saunder's book. In total, I think I'm slower than most, suffer from anxiety, and needed a good plan. Now, I'm hoping I'm on track, getting better each day by learning to give myself grace, and studying per Suzzane's plan. I sure I'm more the exception than the rule. Hope that is helpful. Thanks for your post.
  5. I'm a new grad and still have yet to pass boards (working on it ) ). But, I remember sleepless nights before clinicals. I presume that it will be that way for awhile when I start as a new nurse. THen I think as I hear from others, that things will progressively get better. Thanks for everyones postings as it gives me good insights!
  6. Some of us are slower than others. You never know, you may find yourself in a similar situation one day. Give grace.
  7. Just a thought, I had a soft spoken teacher and asked if she could remedy this issue. She responded by getting a microphone and used it for the remainder of the semester. And it helped.
  8. Wow, this scares me as a new grad. I struggled through nursing school and clinicals. I'm still trying to pass Boards, but I wonder how I'll make it as a new nurse. I hear so much frustration and emotion from each person's posting. I prayed for strength and good to come for each person in their struggle. Hang in there all.
