NCLEX HELP!!
i can relate to you. i didn't pass the nclex the first time and i studied a ton (using more than one book). so i took break and than i bought the questions and answers book from saunders. this book doesn't have comprehensive review just questions and answers. i did use the comprehensive review saunders book the first time, but i felt i needed more questions so i went out and got questions and answers book. i felt this really helped. i only did 100 questions a day and read every single question and rational even if i got it right. i did that for 2.5 months. i did over 5000 questions (only doing 100 day) that all i could do without feeling overwhelm. and sometime i would do 50 in the morning take a break and then come back and do 50 more. i sign up to take my exam in may and passed. before i took the test i prayed and i wrote on my paper, "god's grace issufficient" and i truly believe in that statement. i know god has a plan for me and whenever it was he will provide. i felt that nursing was what god wanted me to do and when he felt it was my time to be a rn that he would make me a rn. i just had to continue working hard and continue believing that god would provide. i spoke to my husband and friends about how i felt. it was sort of like talk therapy and they all gave me positive feedback. this helped a lot too because i got a lot of the negative thought out of my mind. i believe that this really helped because i didn't have negative thoughts going into the exam and i felt good about it. don't give up and take a mini break. really enjoy christmas and new years with family and friends. try not to think about the nclex. i graduated in august of 2008 and pass the test in may of 2009. i took a break and regain my confidences and focus on god and the word. i pray every day and then i studied and pass the 2nd time. don't worry about how many times you have to take the test. take one test at a time because at the end of the day it doesn't matter if you pass the first, second or tenth time. what matters is that you passed and at the end of your name there is only to two letters rn. not how time you took the text. good luck!! you can do this!!!! -ab, rn

super sad and depressed
Don't give up. I failed my first time and you don't even know the result. I thought I fail the second time and I pass. Try not to think about it and wait for result. Don't fail yourself yet. Be postive and stop beating yourself up. You graduate nursing school and that no easy task. Best of luck, -AB

I passed the 2nd time!
Hi all , I just want to share with all you that I passed my the NCLEX exam the 2nd time. I cannot believe it. I took my exam on May 4th and I just got my result in the mail. I am very happy none the least. I decided against getting the quick result because after I took the exam I didn't feel good about it. I am pregnant and I just want to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy and get things ready for my baby. That why I just didn't get the quick result. Anyhow, what I did to pass the second time: I did thousands of questions and I prayed everyday. I used the questions and answers book from saunders. This book doesn't have comprehensive review just questions and answers. I did use the comprehensive review saunders book the first time, but I felt I needed more questions so I went out and got questions and answers book. I felt this really helped. I also spoke to my husband and friends about how I felt. It was sort of like talk therapy and they all gave me postive feedback. This helped a lot too because I got a lot of the negative thought out of my mind. I believe that this really helped because I didn't have negative thoughts going into the exam and I felt good about it. I also asked for people to pray for me. I truly believe God help me. Everytime I would get anxious and I would prayed. Everytime I didn't feel like studying, I prayed. Also, before I started the exam I said a prayer and wrote down, "God's Grace is Sufficient" I truly believe in that statement. I know God has a plan for me and whenever it was he will provide. I felt that nursing was what God wanted me to do and when he felt it was my time to be a RN that he would make me a RN. I just has to continue working hard and continue believing that God would provide. That my story and I am very happy to say that I am finally an RN. Best of luck to all of those who are taking the exam soon. Remember you can do it. -AB

Anyone ever use testing accommodations for NCLEX?
I have testing accommodations too. I got 3 extra hours and got a space to be by myself. I did fail the exam, but I don't think it was because it knew I got accommodations. So don't worry keep studying and are going to pass. Take your time you have the extra time. I am retaking the exam in May. Good Luck, -AB

Motivation please.
Hi, I took my NCLEX-RN exam a month ago and fail. That is a horrible feeling. I plan to retake the test, but I am having a hard time getting remotivated to study again. I don't know what to do to get remotivated. I went out and bought the saunders questions and answers book since I already had the review book. But, I having a hard time focusing. I felt that I put in my all the last time. I need to get remotivate to retake this test. I want to be a RN and I truly feel that I will be a good nurse. But, if I don't get remotivate to study to pass I am never going to get that opportunity. Any ideas on what I can to do get remotivated?

How many times you repeated Kaplan Qbank?
Do you have to take the kaplan class to get the Qbank or is it a book you can buy or computer thing that people can have excess to?

How to pass the exam
I think you are need to try to forget about the last two time. You are a smart person. Buy the 4th edition saunder's book. The 1st step of suzanne's plan is to get that book and do all the question at the end of the chapters. If you less than a 75% review the chapter, but you get more than 75% move on to the next chapter. GOOD LUCK and you can do this. -AB
