  1. Hi! First of all i'd like to thank you all for all the greetings. It was not easy for me while i was preparing for the exam. Some people said that i've been taking the test many times and unsuccessful but I believe that if God helped me get my BSN degree then why not take the test over and over again until I succeed. I felt that God has a plan for me and that helped me not to give up. I know it was not easy. Let me tell you all, I lost my mom mothers day of 2008 and my brother on chrstmas day 2008 too. It was really a tough year for me, But God always find a way to lift us up. I know wherever they are right now, my mom and my brother are happy for me. I remember that 9th time I took it, my brother was still alive then and he asked how did I do, I said I failed and he said, it's sad and he told me too, never give up, and he beleived in me that I will make it next time. My mom said the same thing too when I took it the 8th time. Some people say that, I should stop telling everyone that I took it 10x coz it's embarassing, well, I shouldn't be feeling that way. It's my way of encouraging people NOT TO GIVE UP! During my NCLEX-RN journey, everytime I took the test, i always felt that I was giving my best, but everytime I get the result, it's failed. And my response was always, "well, take it again next time." I am so thankful for my family too for not giving up on me. My husband who's been very supportive and never gave up on me and always tell me that he believes in me. My children ages 5 and 3, I always tell them to pray for mommy to pass the test so mommy and daddy can put you to good school, and yes pray they everynight for me. They are so cuuute. Thanks to them too. Let me tell you my experience while I am taking my 10th nclex, Before I even put my hand in the computer, I prayed in my heart, asked for the Holy Spirit to help me get through it. But my heart was pounding and felt like I have butterflies in my stomach. I was able to survive asnwering 30 questions in less than an hour, then I raised my hand to have an unscheduled break. I told the proctor I need to go the restroom, in the restroom, I was kneeling and praying and ask God to help me because I don't want to fail again, I need a better job coz my husband just lost his job. So I went back to the testing room and then composed my self and focused more. Then difficult questions keep popping up. I never had computation and that was the first time that i didn't have any. I had lots of SATA, infection control, drug's S/E, drug toxicity, critical lab values, tons of priority questions. I remember my last 5 questions were all prioritization. When the computer stopped at 75, I said, that's it? I think i need more than that. But that's really it. So, after answering the last part w/c is the survey, I prayed in my heart and said to HIM, that I did everything I can then God, Your will be done. In my previous prep for the exam, I used to read different books but it didn't helped me, it just made me more confused. Then my prep on my 10th take, I only used THE ABCs of passing foreign nursing exams and NClex-rn in a flasah by R.A. Gapuz. It helped me a lot. Because the book only tackles on what is important in the nclex-rn, so it's easier for me to remmeber, especially those initial manifestations of every diseases. Try that book. NCLEX-RN in a flash is available in amazon.com, barnes and noble and borders. I did not regret taking it 10x because I know that God has a plan for me and he revealed it to me unexpectedly. For those who has been taking it many times, DO NOT GIVE UP! God has a plan for all of us. Always remember, YOU CAN DO IT TOO! Pray, Study then pray. It really works. Do your best and God will do the rest. My prayer now is for God to help me in this new level of my career, help me do my job well so I can help my husband provide food in our plates and a shelter for our family, a good education for our children and help also those who are in need. Please let me know if i can help. I can pray for all of you guys. If you have some questions let me know. I am not an expert I am just here to share the blessing that He has poured on me. Have faith! God bless you all! :wink2: deegee
  2. Let me tell you something. I took it 10x. I lost my mother and my brother last year. I am about to give up but God is good He is taking care of us. Do not look down on yourself. I can relate on what you said regarding your children. I was like that too. But let me tell you, just study harder and pray, pray, pray. It really works. Relax in between. Get this book NCLEX-RN in a flash by R. A. Gapuz. they have it at amazon.com. they also have it at barnes and noble but they always run out of stock. Then go to his website he has some pointers there too www.ragapuzreview.com That's the only book I used while I prepare for the 10th time and it worked. Try it, it might help you too. Never give up. remember the verse in the bible Mark 11:24 "For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it." :wink2:
  3. Hi! I just want to share you some tips. I used a lot of books before and I even attended 2 review centers in the past. But it didn't quite help me. Until A friend of mine who took it once only and used The ABCs of Foreign Nursing Exam by R.A. Gapuz, she recommended me that book. So i bought it. I also used the NCLEX-RN in a flash by R.A. Gapuz, and it did help me so much. NCLEX-RN in a flash can be bought at borders, barnes and nobles and amazon.com. The author is really genius! You will see what i am talkin about when you the see the book. But most of all, God makes wonders and He is always there to help us all. Just lift it all up to Him. Do your best to study and He will do the rest. We can't do it on our own, we need God!
  4. thank you so much! there's nothing impossible with the LORD!
  5. First of all I would like to thank the Lord for the big big help. I am a BSN-RN now. Let me tell you something I took the nclex-rn 10x and all of them are 75 questions only and on the 10th time I finally made it at 75 question. It's all prayers and hard work. If you do everything and lift up everything in His name he will be there to help you. remember i took it 10x. He did not give up on me. Thank God!
  6. I did this trick just today, I don't know if it's true but it did worked for me. I took the NY state boards 3/20 and the quick result is actually available 3/22 but I dont wanna pay 7.95 to check it because I was thinking that I failed. The computer stopped at 75. I said i will just wait for the mail. But then I saw this "pearsonvue" trick and i tried ,it didn't get me thru the payment option. So i said let me just pay and check it because I can't wait any more.......and I PASSED! After so many takes finally I made it! Thank God!
