  1. im a tele nurse too and my friend works in the ER and keep trying to get me to work there, she raves about it. im thinking about it too.
  2. Actually, I read on another post that if you have your FNP, you can sit for the GNP as well
  3. I am applying to msn programs and wanted to know if you know or do yourself have a Family NP but work in Geri 65 and above ? Most NP's I come accross do peds or Adults 18-65. I just want to have that option cause I am leaning more towards Geriatrics now. Thanks in advance.:redbeathe
  4. Im in the same boat. I am not crazy about working with kids. Quick question...FNP have a good chance in working with geriatrics?? Im leaning towards that nowadays
  5. thanks for the responces. In new york I see that cns's are not valued even. Everyone is gaga over NP's but it doesnt appeal to me to be a physician extender. In new york as cns you cannot write rx's. I dont want to work hard in getting a masters and be so limited in jobs. Cns's need to be heard here ;-)
  6. Hi, I am looking into getting my masters online. I am not really crazy about the NP role but do now want to be limited in finding jobs. I have my BSN.. from what I understand its different state to state. I am from New York and cannot find if a CNS is considered an advanced practice nurse??? Anyone can help me out here? Thanks in advance.:redbeathe
  7. yes they hire new grads. Plenty of my classmates went to tele floors and work with mostly new grads
  8. i got high 50's to low 60's with kaplan and past the first time with 75 questions. You should be fine
  9. Good luck, I had a few meltdowns of my very own before taking the nclex.
  10. when i was taking the nclex everyone said they understood btu i knew they did not know exactly how i felt. How can they? We all do. if you have been doing questions thats great. I did 100-150 questions a day for around 5 weeks and passed. I did it 7 days a week. The night before go out to eat with a friend..distract yourself, it actually helps. There is not studying in the world that can help you the night before. Good luck
  11. do you mean chance of passing?? I got a 60% on my final ati and passed the first time taking the nclex
  12. yes, i took the test on a friday and got my results on a sunday EXACTLY 48hours later
  13. I have never encountered someone who felt "Yeppp Im ready for the exam" just do your very best studying. Questions, Questions, and Questions!
